Better-than-expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had used various different versions of VR over the years and always enjoyed it. Just never felt like it was something that I needed to have at home just yet. When this went on sale for 3:25 I picked one up and it came with the two Hand sensors and two receivers. I'm really glad I bought it I've enjoyed every minute I've racing shooting watching entertainment and playing various different types of games. I just wish there were more high quality game titles available now

A Great Experience
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As soon as I got home and I put on the headset I was blown away. I had so mcuh fun during the tutorial that I called everyone in the house to come try it. We all had a blast on just the tutorial alone with the little robot inside the mobile home. The graphics arent realistic and you wont get fooled but the games really suck you in. I'd recommend this if you enjoy fun little things as VR has not gotten much big name games. However, I am excited for Fallout 4 VR and the recently announced L.A. Noire VR cases.

This is pretty amazing!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cards on the table, I bought the HTC Vive first. I only picked this up after touch controllers came out, and it was on sale. The product is pretty great, like the built in headphones. I prefer this setup for sitting down VR. Touch controllers are very nice, but I use mainly for flight sims, so I use a HOTAS joystick and throttle. I only have 2 of the sensors and they are easy to setup, but not as versatile room scale without a 3rd sensor. Still for 300-400$, not a bad buy.

Oculus Rift + Touch is an excellent purchase
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had been watching the reviews and pricing for VR systems for 2 years, and when Oculus developed the touch controllers, packaged them with Oculus Rift, AND had a sale, I could not resist and I have been very pleased with the purchase. I have been using it regularly, and am waiting for gaming to really take advantage of VR - Skyrim is out in April, and I am excited, very excited - one of my favorite games ever...now in VR. [ I did buy a 3rd sensor for full room experience (it comes with 2)].

Excellent VR headset
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Keep in mind that although the cost of this unit is just around $400, you need to have a VR-ready machine to run it on. All-in-all, I spent nearly $2000 to be able to use this equipment. If you’re a game developer/artist or willing to drop a good chunk to use VR, then this is an excellent route. If you’re just wanting to play a few VR games but aren’t willing to spend a big penny or invest for developing purposes, I might suggest a mobile VR headset like the Go version of Oculus Rift. You can’t load as many or as graphic heavy games on mobile, so you’d be limited, but it’s the cheaper route and a better investment for people fascinated but not wanting to dive headlong into VR games (plus, no cables and lengthy setup to deal with). It’s more affordable than HTC Vive and, so far, a little easier to set up. The only competitor challenge is the Vive’s controllers are easier to grab and operate instinctively. Once you’re accustomed to the Rift controllers, though, you’re set. The Vive did have sharper visuals than the Rift, coming from experience and my eyesight (far-sighted, don't require lens correction for all-day every day function). As with any VR rig for computer, setup and tear-down takes a while unless you have a room to leave it set up permanently, although the instructions say to always store the equipment in the box it came in (decent box with plenty of cushioning, but I’m sure 3rd parties have developed sturdier containers). After initial setup, it’s connects pretty quickly. The UI isn’t perfectly intuitive. It took me a while (hey, don’t judge) to figure out how to turn the thing off. All-in-all, most “complaints” I have with VR rigs like this are across the board because of lengthy setup and wire-busy rigs. As for use and comparison, I think this one is an excellent choice.

Must have minimum hardware requirements
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cool product, but you MUST have the minimum hardware requirements or the VR is VERY slow and the experience isn't great. New computer is on the way, so hopefully I can experience this product how it was intended.

Good experience!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is really a good product and innovative controls. The only problem I faced is, the eye strain. It might be because there is not enough space for my glass inside headset. I couldn’t play it continuously for more than 10 min. Also I felt that the resolution is not that great, but still you will get a good VR experience.

Great except: fog + nose hole
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With the sensors, this thing really puts you into the action. Buy Lone Echo - you will have an experience like none other. The graphics look great and the headset is very light compared to the PSVR. The only two drawbacks I have are the amount of fog that blurs your view (PSVR doesnt get this way for me, so it can be corrected) and the light that appears through the nose area (no one has a nose that big to block that area). Again, PSVR doesnt have that big of a gap. Now, the graphics are much better than PSVR so I am not saying that PSVR is better, just stating that this could be fixed!

Can't Beat it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't think you can beat the price point (I purchased at $350). I considered the HTC Vive, but after seeing both I couldn't justify spending so much more and not getting headphones/mic with it as well. I mainly play iRacing with the headset but it's great. The only thing I would recommend is that if you want to use it for any other games other than racing, buy an additional sensor or two. Make sure you have enough space in your room to set it up. I have a 10x10 room and with my desk, bookshelves and a lamp where my computer is, its not big enough for some of the games.

Amazing Experience
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My son talked me into buying this system. I felt it was probably limited in its capability due to the lack of time it has been on the market. Having said that, it is a pretty neat experience. Reaching out to grab weapons, ducking and dodging attacks, light sabers, what is not to like about this system. Just be careful and have plenty of space. It sucks to hit you hand on the desk because you moved over a little too much during all the action!

Awesome VR system
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I first had a chance to experience the oculus while deployed and vowed to myself that I would eventually one day purchase one. The timing and price were finally aligned where i could purchase it and i will forever be grateful i did. The touch controllers are comfortable and work exceptionally well and the headset is also comfortable. The VR experience is top notch and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants the best experience ever.

Great experience, very realistic
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product has been very enjoyable, while there are some games that produce motion sickness, there is something for everyone. You can sit in the forest or a waterfall for hours, or, if you want more action, there's plenty of FPS (first person shooters) or RPGs(Role Playing Games) available. Great product, hoping the technology continues to progress. Recommendation: A steam account is also recommended for more variety of activities.

Immersive and fun
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been wanting a good vr system for awhile and I'm very impressed with the Oculus Rift. The sensors are responsive, movements 1:1, and you completely feel like you're in the virtual world.

The most immersive device I have ever used.
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Oculus Rift is a phenomenal departure from multiscreen gaming that I am used to. The Rift places you in the virtual universe in a way I have never experienced before. It is truly a mind blowing experience. Words cannot describe how awesome this system is. It will truly be better when they develop a wireless headset version of the Rift for PC. It was worth the price I paid for it. I have not been disappointed.

VR is better than anticipated
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.VR is surprisingly awesome. Did not expect this to be as fun as it is. Robot Recall is a lot of fun. I got this to go with my racing wheel and pedals for sim racing and determined I needed to upgrade my computer to better enjoy the VR. I like the external sensors of this Rift but the new one is coming out soon and relies on cameras in the headset which have pros and cons to such design. I’d rather have the external sensors but the newer Rift has higher screen resolutions. Hurry and pick the old set up or wait depending on your preference.
