I’ve had this thing for about a year and a half now. Has been so much fun and the immersion is incredible. From sword fighting in a gladiator ring to chillin in VRchat with other people with VR headsets. It’s really fun and there’s games / environments for everyone of all ages to enjoy. Definitely get one and the Rift S is about to come out at the same price point

Have researched all details of Vive, rift, odyssey, PSVR etc. and choose this Oculus rift and for what's out right now I think it is the best overall deal/buy. Look at the VR games and think about paying over $1000 for better resolution. The games are not going for photo realism so this works well. Set up was not bad, check the internet before you start setup for best results.

Easier to set up than I have heard it was. Works great even on slightly under powered cpu. USB ports were not as easy but got it working by changing drivers.

This is awesome. The beginning of a new age of Human Interface Devices and you can now take something we have only seen in movies and tv, into your own home. I am thinking of buying another sensor as three could only provide better tracking. Two sensors is fine and accurate enough to enjoy everything, but I tried three and could really tell a difference in the tracking.

So while disappointed with the new games bundles, some of the other titles are great. Old flight sim favorite DCS World is very cool, as is Elite Dangerous. Can’t wait to use Vorpx ($40) to extend VR into non-VR titles.

I've always wanted a vr system and I thought I would try this one out..... Now I can't put it down. The graphics are awesome, the games are great and only getting better, and the price is wonderful. I can't say enough wonderful things about this product. Even the customer service personnel are professional and courteous. If your wanting a vr system, then look no further.

I was on the fence between oculus rift and htc vive until the rift was on sale for $400 including touch controllers. Though I understand the vive tracking to be superior, the oculus touch is the superior controller. So if you are in the market for high end VR, either one should be considered good, but in my experience the oculus rift has been well worth the high cost.

My brother and I would talk about the possibility of VR when we were kids and this lives up to the hype. My family and I have had a lot of fun with Oculus. We run it off of a MSI - 17.3" Laptop - Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 - 1TB Hard Drive + 128GB Solid State Drive - Aluminum black which we also bought at Best Buy. They work really well together

I’ve used both the oculus and the Vive and they’re both great experiences but what really takes it from me is the Oculus’ touch controllers. Being able to track hand movements and just how the controller feels so natural in your hands really helps to increase your immersion. I have a 3 sensor setup in a 8’x8’ room which Makes the experiences even greater!

It's a complete vr bundle! Assuming that you have a vr capable PC. Even though graphical quality is not perfect, the experience is waaay more important. I have a gear vr so i can say this version is 100% way better. "Screendoor effect" is not evident in oculus rift compared to using a cellphone in the gear vr. Having the touch controller is the best thing that happened to vr. Being able to see and use your fake hand to manipulate the things around you is so immersing. It has a built-in mic which is a surprise, i didn't even know until i heard a player sayin that he can hear me LOL! The built-in ear headphones have very good acoustics that can be moved if you want to hear around the real world. One thing that people stay away from is VR sickness, where you feel nauseated when playing certain games, my suggestion is to remove the headset and rest... after that... try the same game again and whoala! You developed an affinity to VR sickness. The more you play, the more you'll get used to it! Enjoy!

Originally I return this because I could not get it to function with a laptop that was supposed to be oculus ready. It turns out it was an issue with the laptop not the oculus. Once we got it working with our desktop it was absolutely amazing! I’ve never experienced anything like it! I’m a huge Xbox fan, but this is on a whole other level!!!

VR is getting pretty good. There are lots of different games and the Oculus Rift plays most of them. The down side is you can't really bring it places to show others, and you need a $1,000+ PC to properly run it. If you're like me and can't wait, you won't be disappointed with the rift. If you can wait and $1,400ish is just too much, I would look into the Oculus Quest coming out this spring. No PC will be needed and it should retail for only about $400.

I picked up the Oculus to go along with my new BUYPOWER - Desktop - Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 - 1TB Solid State Drive, Yes this system was an upgrade on an older system that I was using. Flowing the easy step by step setup is a snap, I am very happy with the VR experience, cant wait for the gamming companies to catchup.

I had to choose between the Rift and the Vive and after doing a lot of reading it basically came down to price. I also liked the fact that both Facebook and especially Microsoft are behind the Rift as it makes me feel like updates and upgrades will continue coming. Favorite games are super hot and robo recall. Really a lot of fun. Lost one star because the lens are too easily scratched if you wear glasses because they can touch your glasses. Harder lens? Some engineer can solve this.
