Never got it to work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Please read the requirements for this product before you buy it. Unfortunately I DID NOT read it and had to return the product because my computer was not compatible. It was either that or spend another $800 or more to buy a compatible computer.

Not what we expected.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great system if you want to invest additional monies in games. When purchased as a gift we thought it was compatable with our sons existing gaming systems. It was not and was returned shortly after purchase.

One of the, if not the, Best VR on the Market
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, I have PSVR. I was about to get the Vive because I heard the Vive was better than the Rift overall - my main concern was room scaling (having a bigger space with 360 tracking. The Vive was sold out everywhere so I looked into the Rift and I am glad I did. First, the Rift does not require making holes in your walls to set up the sensors like the Vive does. I will admit, the tracking is probably not as good as the Vive, but it is much much better than PSVR. The Rift uses 2 (you can add more for better tracking if your computer has enough USB 3.0 ports) sensors which you place in front of you and I've used these with little to complain about in 3 areas of my home - 2 smaller and 1 bigger (optimal) area. The controllers this comes with are the best on the market hands down (though Vive is working on a pair to compete but a release date is not available as of today) - they are ergonomic and track hand function much better than the PSVR and allow for a joystick on each hand - so intuitive. Setup is easier than the PSVR (from the physical moving and setting up perspective and because I have a laptop running it, THOUGH the PSVR is more plug and play ready - not having to deal with potential PC/driver issues). GAMES - for the most part all Vive games can be played on the Rift through Steam, but not vice versa. One of the best games in VR comes FREE with the Rift - Robo Recall. It also comes with Dead & Buried - a great solo, co-op, multiplayer game with charm, and a couple of art-based games. Also, Marvel Powers United which comes out later this month will be Oculus exclusive. Oh, and there's a game called Unspoken which I would describe as Dr. Strange meets Fight Club - the game is developed by the studio that is doing the PS exclusive Spiderman. Overall - the PSVR is recommended if you already have a PSVR and money is an issue. It's friendlier in terms of social settings (since my laptop doesn't have a way to display on a larger screen or TV). I'd also only recommend this if you're not super serious into VR gaming. They are committed to making and releasing more games like the much praised Tetris due out later this year. Rift - I love this thing and can't say enough good things about it. I had to buy a new gaming laptop for the Rift (Dell G7). BUT I can take it to visit friends and family and be set up in minutes (the packaging is better than the PSVR to lug your stuff around in). I love the controls and the exclusive games + compatibility with Steam. It looks gorgeous. There's more smaller, indie games for cheaper that are pretty tight quality like Twisted Arrow, Thrill of the Night, Giant Cop. The ONLY thing is that games exclusive to the Rift need to be purchased through the Oculus store and they ask to store your credit card or Paypal which i do not like (and have already removed my card #), but I buy most of my games through Steam. All is good :). Vive - It's $100 more and would only recommend (based on limited knowledge) if you wear glasses - apparently the Vive is more glasses friendly due to the space, but I don't let people with glasses use my Rift or PSVR anyways. AND if room-scale is your #1 priority (although you can do 360 tracking with a rift if you have a 3rd sensor which requires 3 USB slots total - I think they may need to be 3.0 but maybe only the headset HAS to be). Hope this helps!
