Unfortunately I get motion sickness so I'm restricted to non-movement games. This system was easy to connect and configure and the games are good quality. If I touch-typed just using the virtual desktop would be a boon at work - multiple screens at literally your fingertips.

Having a great time with the oculus. My wife who isn't video game savvy has been having a blast. Very easy to figure out and if you haven't used VR before it's a mind blowing experience. The oculus touch controls are way better than the HTC vive ones. This is the best vr experience, especially for the money!

I was skeptical about VR in general until I tried an Oculus headset at a demo. It was a whole new experience for me and I don't think people are really exaggerating when they call VR the future of gaming though. For the present, however, make sure your computer has the recommended specs at least, enough USB ports for the sensors and headsets and a free HDMI port for the headset. Also would highly recommend you have at least 6' by 6' of play area, as many (but not all) require it.

Incredible VR experience. I had previously been using VR Gear with my Samsung S8 but this is steps above. I am looking forward to using this with Steam running Fallout 4 VR but am waiting to hear that they have fixed more of the compatibility issues as it was originally designed for use with the HTC Vine.

Virtual reality with the oculus rift is simply incredible. Hooked up to a VR ready Alienware laptop, the experience while sometimes finicky to set up, is really amazing. The games have come a long way. Watching Hulu on a movie screen from your couch is pretty cool. It is really immersive.

I bought the Oculus Rift during the Black Friday sale for $350, and it was definitely worth it. It comes with the headset, left and right Touch controllers, and 2 sensors. Additionally, 6 games are included. Once set up, it is magical. Seeing everything in 3D and matching with your movements really makes it seem like your in a robot fight, or floating in the space station, or placing blocks in Minecraft. If you have a capable PC, now's the time.

Out of the box you realize it's all very high quality even the box holds the headset and hand con. So well you will keep the box to store the device when you're not using it. The out of box experience is great but set up was frustrating. My GPU only has one HDMI port and my display also uses the HDMI it will not let you complete the set up with just the headset and it won't let you set up unless the headset HDMI is plugged into your graphics card. Once I got an HDMI to display port it was much better then the set up was easy and getting into games was fine. It is disappointing that unlike the over priced HTC Vive you will want to buy another sensor for 360 tracking once you get that next sensor you start getting the ability to more closely use room scale then you realize that the cable is to short so you buy an HDMI and a USB 3.0 adaptor extension cable. The short of it is, if you want to play while sitting or standing it's great it's just fine. If you want room scale just get the HTC Vive because once you make the rift room scale - able you're paying exactly the same price as a Vive. Smart thinking in price oculus. I will be returning it to order the Vive and hope that when valve launches their own controllers they are compatible out of the box.

Great option for those interested in getting into VR, but don't want to spend the extra money for the HTC Vive. Extra sensors are relatively cheap, and the controllers are some of the best on the market. Overall, great product that shows off an awesome new technology.

Based on my time with the Oculus Rift, I was fairly impressed with the headset. The design is gorgeous, and the lightweight nature of the headset really makes a difference when wearing it for an extended amount of time, and the lack of condensation build-up on the lens is nice too. The little extras like the built-in headphones are a great touch and show just how much time and effort Oculus has put in to develop this headset and understand what users want/need. It has a gorgeous high-resolution display with a high refresh rate, providing users with great quality VR and smooth motion with no noticeable SDE. The Oculus Touch controllers make all the difference to the experience, though; while using the Rift with an Xbox One controller was fun, it was nowhere near as enjoyable as using my hands to interact with the virtual environment. The controllers are well designed and the most advanced on the market with finger-tracking sensors beneath each button, although the “requirement of AA batteries is a bit of a disappointment” Our only real complaint? The light leakage. It’s not something we expect from such a high-end VR headset and when you consider the HTC Vive and PlayStation VR have managed to overcome the issue, it’s a little disappointing.

This is amazing! Didn't know VR was this good. Games good, VR house good, no issues what so ever. My friends and kids pick right up on the controllers and we use this all the time. Need strong gaming computer to use though. I'm using an MSI Gaming laptop and no problems.

The first consumer version is a great step in bringing virtual reality to more consumers. It’s fun to play with and if you can navigate windows then you can set it up. Very simple. Incase you weren’t aware, you will need to create an oculus account or login with Facebook. This setup with 2 cameras is the best to start. Hard to see one working as well. The bundle of games is a great start. Just be prepared to shell out for more though. I would absolutely buy again and if you have the means it’s a must to be in the next generation of gaming.

I have been salivating for this set for months. After I finally got it as a Birthday gift I set it up on my home computer. A couple of things to know before you purchase it: a) make sure you have enough USB outlets on your tower or laptop (may need a hub) b) Make sure you run the Oculus Rift compatibility tool on your machine, that way you will know if all your hardware will support it, I failed to do that and realized my video card was NOT capable of supporting this set so I had to upgrade the video card. The current recommended is a Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060, so be prepared to spend some $$ c) Have enough space to setup the beams and then enough space for you to stand if you need to while using the set. If you aren't sure what application you want to use it for, save yourself some money and buy the more entry level sets, otherwise, this IS THE BEST CHOICE for the best VR experience.
