Works great and the fit is good. I was getting data showing that my sleep was not optimal and I was able to confirm and correct the issue with my doctor. I feel great now. Does not scratch.

I bought the Ring for my husband with the expectation that it would be a convenient option for notifications and activity tracking, and in terms of basic functionality, the product does its job. It’s comfortable and practical for monitoring certain functions, but for us, it fell short in the features we were looking for. The performance is good, notifications come through without issue, and the battery life is adequate. However, the device doesn’t offer as many options or customization as we had hoped, making it less useful for my husband’s daily needs. Pros: Basic functionality works well Comfortable and easy to use. Good battery life. Cons: Limited in terms of additional features. Not as versatile as other similar devices. Overall, the Ring could be useful if you’re looking for a simple device for notifications, but if you’re after something with more features, it may not be the ideal option.

If you want insight into your autonomic nervous system—stress, strain, and rest—Oura’s data is solid and beautifully presented. Sleep Tracking: The ring’s sleep stage analysis and readiness score are helpful for seeing how your body bounces back, especially if you’ve been under stress, sick, or training hard. Where It Falls Short Paywall for Wellness: After the trial, you have to pay $6/month for most features. Without a subscription, you lose access to HRV trends, detailed sleep, temperature, and more. That means the $350–$500 you paid just gets you the hardware—wellness is extra. Luxury Pricing, Questionable Value: The base price is steep, and the gold version costs even more (and yes, the gold can tarnish—search the reviews!). You’re paying for a brand and a shiny finish, not extra function. Opaque Data: Oura only shows your lowest HRV average at night, not your highest, nor your real-time ups and downs. If your number seems low (mine is often ~19 ms), that’s by design—it’s showing your most “strained” period, not your day’s average. This can be confusing and discouraging. Step Count Drift: After recent updates, Oura’s step count dropped (sometimes undercounted), while RingConn overcounts. Neither is perfect. RingConn: A Cheaper, Broader Lens All-Day HRV: RingConn measures HRV continuously, so you can see how stress, calm, and even emotions affect you throughout the day. No subscription required. Half the Price: $200, with core metrics, including HRV, and no recurring fees. App Needs Work: No way to see weekly/monthly HRV trends (at least as of this writing), which makes long-term improvement hard to track. What Companies Should Learn Stop Gating Health Data: HRV isn’t new; HeartMath has offered this tech for decades, focused on healing, not profits. Wellness shouldn’t be locked behind a luxury paywall. Transparency and Choice: Let users see all their HRV data—lowest, highest, averages, and real-time—and empower them to interpret it meaningfully. Price for Access, Not Exclusion: These rings could transform public health if made more affordable. Apple and Oura, why not partner with mission-driven orgs and make HRV tracking a right, not a privilege? Bottom Line If you want the most validated HRV data for overnight recovery, Oura is still the gold standard—but it comes with a monthly toll, luxury pricing, and data “curation” that hides more than it reveals. If you want more raw, day-long HRV (with some trade-offs in accuracy), RingConn is a worthy challenger at half the price. If I could, I’d blend Oura’s science with RingConn’s access and HeartMath’s spirit. Until then, Oura gets 2–3 stars from me—not for lack of innovation, but for putting wellness behind a velvet rope. I’ve been wearing the ring (on my index finger) for about 7 days. I like the way it looks and it’s comfortable. I was a little concerned about the bulk of the ring but it’s not a problem at all. It doesn’t interfere with holding a golf club. And barely notice I have it one. I’m still learning how to interpret the data and the capabilities of the ring but so far, it’s great.

I have been using my Oura Ring for the past month and love it. Mostly using for sleep tracking and good health. The Oura Ring has me hooked on getting proper sleep habits and timings!I only use it for the sleep tracking at this time.

I love the ring it’s not only a cute accessory, but it really tracks everything I need to be tracked. Battery life is great as well!

Cute. Good idea in theory. However I prefer my Apple Watch. No subscriptions. Tells time. And is strapped on and does not need to be adjusted every second. The main thing I liked was it can track your sleep score, and the Apple Watch is to bulky to wear to bed, and you can log your food.

The part I really like about the ring is that I can get information when I sleep. My watch is too bulky to wear at night. Plus with days of power reserve, I don't worry about it not lasting the night. This really allows me to get full day feedback on my health metrics.

In a class unto itself!! Between the app, the appearance, comfort, and overall performance, this is by far the best biometric ring on the market! A little pricy, but worth every penny! Checks all vitals in a very non-interference basis. Highly recommend!

The ring looked nice at first and the design is not bad, but after just a couple of weeks the color changed and it started to look worn out. It also got many scratches very quickly, even though I was careful with it. Unfortunately, the quality didn’t meet my expectations.

I have had all 4 version and love the battery on this one. Finally can get a good 2 weeks w/o charging.

Amazing little piece of tech. For me I wanted the data but prefer my mechanical watches over the apple watch I had been wearing. This solved that and its more comfortable than my orginal wedding ring which was a concern. If your on the fence go for it, 100% worth it

this has been a game changer; I don't like wearing things on my wrist at night. so this has been a great addition for all day and night wear. this has helped me be more aware of when I should be going to bed at night. I like that recently have been a little under the weather and there are tags you can add to let the ring know why you're not feeling well. I really like the combination of wearing the ring and a smartwatch during the day. this is slim enough that I don't really know I'm wearing it; would buy again

This is a great tool. Especially if you are trying to get your sleep in line with your fitness and health.

I gave this to my grandson for Christmas. So far he really likes it. Great battery life and good metrics. He gives it a 4.9 out of 5 with the only deduction being that he wished they had half sizes.

A gift for my sister. She loves this ring. Wears it everyday& says how much she loves it everytime I see her. You can track so many differnt things like a fitness watch but even more in depth. Great purchase.
