Nice addition
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was VERY excited about the Oura ring. I thought I would no longer need my Apple watch, and I liked that the battery would last for days so I could track my sleep. It does an amazing job at tracking and breaking down sleep patterns. It is awesome that it tracks body temp, O2 fluxuations and stress levels. The Oura also seems more accurate by far on step counts. However, I still feel like Apple has the best layout for tracking fitness activities. I feel like Apple is by far easier to track and easier to read and understand. If i had to choose one, i would choose the Apple watch at this time. However, I do appreciate the additional health tracking of the Oura and feel like it is an amazing supplement to the Apple watch. We will see, maybe in a few months my story will change as i get used to the layout.

Outstanding
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love all that this ring tracks! Stop debating and get this ring. I had and still have my apple watch that i still wear to work because i like that i can get text messages on it still. But i love the ring more for tracking purposes. Also the battery lasts a long time and when i do charge it, it charges pretty quickly. I love that i can wear this daily and even out to dinner and it just look like a classy gold ring. I have definitely been recommending to all my friends who have been on the fence about it. Buy it, you wont regret it!

Stylish, Comfortable & Accurate Health Tracker
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Oura Ring 4 is a fantastic health tracker with a sleek, lightweight titanium design that’s comfortable for 24/7 wear. It provides detailed sleep, activity, and stress insights, with an intuitive app that offers personalized recommendations. The battery lasts up to six days, and charging is quick and easy. The only downside is the required subscription, but the in-depth health data makes it worthwhile. If you want a discreet and accurate health tracker without a bulky smartwatch, this is a great investment!

Great!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had my Oura Ring for about two months now and I really enjoy all of the features. I was nervous that the ring would be too bulky, but I adjusted to it very quickly. Of all the features, I think the sleep and stress tracking are the most valuable for me.

Oura Ring 4
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First smart device I have been able to sleep comfortably wearing every night. I run my everyday health according to my Oura. It’s so convenient to only charge it every 7 or 8 days. Give it a 10+

Great Purchase
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Normally wear a smart watch but I wanted to track my sleep wothout having to wear it duringthe night let alone the bad battery life. This ring does a fantastic job at tracking my vitals while I sleep and during the day. I still use my smart watch for workouts but this ring is much easier to wear and doesnt get in the way of things and is quite comfortable. Only bad thing is I choose to take it off while lifting as to not scratch it. Otherwise I would recomend this ring to anyone looking for better sleep tracking.

Its a ring
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use it for recovery and its helped point out my weaknesses and gave some sort if explanation as to why my sleep is not good. However its a ring and as will all consumer tech there can be some margin of error. Still helped me though. Minus on the monthly subscription though

Insightful, but Expensive
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been wearing the ring for almost a month now. I was super excited to get the ring as I've been wanting to know more about my sleeping habits and overall health insights. The sleep tracking is definitely the best part of the ring in my opinion so far. Super accurate and really helpful to see my sleeping habits. The only reason why the ring is not a 5 star rating for me is because in order to use the ring to its full advantage such as blood work data, they require you to pay even more money to get it done through Quest. I have done blood work through my primary, so I do wish they had a feature where you can insert your data manually. The ring is already expensive enough so requiring more money to pay for certain aspects of the health stats is a little crazy to me.

It seamlessly tracks both physical activity and sleep with impressive accuracy. ||Posted . My New Favorite Health Device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This ring is fantastic. It’s incredibly light and comfortable—half the time I forget I’m even wearing it. The durability is impressive too; I’ve knocked it against a few things and it still shows almost no scratches. The battery life is next level. The app is intuitive, and the notifications are genuinely helpful without being annoying. When it comes to sleep, it keeps me accountable, and the data feels accurate and meaningful. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants deeper insight into their health and daily habits.

Overall, it’s a discreet, comfortable, and highly accurate health wearable — easily one of the best upgrades for anyone focused on sleep and wellness.

Personalized Stats that make health fun
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't like iwatches or anything that can be distracting from staying present in the moment. However, with the oura ring it's just a beautiful ring that doesn't distract from the moment. When I have free time to connect with the app, is when I can get the personal insights. From heart health, to sleep data, to activity and stress levels. With it's easy to read charts and stats, it makes wholistic health approachable. Highly recommend it to others. Recommending my to get it so we can be in each others circles and have another layer to the ring of having your closest friends/family as your accountability buddies as we walk through life together.

For Health, Not Fitness
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a long time user of smartwatches, having a few different brands over the years. I say this because I found myself, quite frequently, comparing the Oura ring to the (app) data that my smartwatch provides. I quickly realized that there really is little overlap in the type of data that each device provides. In my experience, my smartwatch is better for tracking fitness and the Oura ring is better for tracking health. In my two weeks of testing the Oura ring, the battery consistently lasted 5 days. Minus the initial "charge after getting the ring", it took 1.5 hours to fully charge from 19%. After waking up the morning of the 5th day, my ring was at 17%. I read somewhere that if you wear a larger ring size, you'll get more battery life out of it. For my size 7, five days is as much as it will give me. My watch keeps track of current activity data, like steps, workouts, how I slept (when I choose to wear the watch to bed) and heart rate when I prompt it to take that measurement. The ring seems to be more about overall health. It’s more proactive in making observations about how my day may be, which is based on how well I slept and displaying if I’m well rested, thus increasing my activity goal for the day. That being said, there were a couple nights where I slept horribly, waking up frequently and actually getting out of bed. In the morning, the ring gave me a sleep score of 92. I felt like my sleep score should have been closer to 50. A night where I felt like I slept pretty good scored me at 85. One night, my dog was having stomach issues so I had to get out of bed twice to let him outside. In the morning, the Oura app rated my sleep score at 94 - "Optimal". It said my awake time was 49 minutes, but I had "No significant movement during your sleep". Confusing! The graph shows the approximate times I was awake, but the interface does not allow you to interact with the graph to see specific times (by sliding your finger along the graph). Overall, the sleep data the Oura provides is very confusing to me. It doesn't seems to consistently reflect the sleep I feel I actually got, and the data in the app is confusing to interpret. As for tracking steps, smartwatch versus the Oura ring... the Oura ring tracks an average of 2,000 steps more than my smartwatch. This is one metric that I 100% would not rely on the ring to accurately track. For example, I was awake for 6 hours, just doing things around the house. My watch had tracked 1660 steps. The ring had tracked 4153. Yesterday, my watch tracked 4718 and the ring tracked 7214. Taking into consideration my activities, my smartwatch is much closer to my actual step count. I searched Oura's help site on information about step and activity tracking. It says that total count is made up of step-based and non-step-based movements. It also said that wearing your ring on your dominant vs your non-dominant hand can impact your daily totals. The accelerometers in the ring can have difficulty accurately tracking no or limited hand movement activities like cycling or lifting weights. While intense hand movements like drumming (or typing, like I read elsewhere) can greatly inflate the totals. Their website suggested manually adding activities or importing activities by using apps connected to other activity tracking devices. My usual fitness activities include walking my dogs and weight lifting. I thought that it would be an issue wearing the ring for weightlifting, and getting a good grip on the bars. However, I ended up wearing gloves which helped with my grip and protected the ring from getting scratched. I utilized the Health Connect app to combine the data from my watch and ring to get a better picture of my workout (from my watch) and how that contributes to my overall health profile (from my ring). One thing I REALLY wish the ring had was a vibrating alarm. There are some mornings where I have to wake up before my spouse. These times, I wear my smartwatch and set the (vibrating) alarm on it. I honestly do not like wearing my watch to bed. I feel like it's too big and a constant reminder that I'm going to be woken up by an alarm in the morning. I feel like this is actually preventing me from getting better sleep. Wearing a ring, that is much more discreet than a watch, to wake me up in the morning would have been awesome. The data in the Oura app is a lot to digest. I worked in IT as a web developer for 20 years and consider myself fairly tech savvy. I found it to be a challenge to logically navigate around the app. Some data isn’t located where you would expect to find it and sometimes it seemed to be missing data. For example, one of the tabs at the top of the home screen is Heart rate. When you select that, you get your days of data for Heart rate and stress. One day, it showed that I was “stressed” for almost 3 hours. That seemed confusing to me because I didn’t feel stressed any time during the day… at least what I would consider stress. Another metric on this screen is Activity. Despite manually tracking my weightlifting workout and walking my dogs, this was empty. Instead, there was a message that said “When you save your activities, your activity heart rate will appear here.” When I selected the Activity tab on the home screen, and scroll to the very bottom, it lists “other” for the weightlifting from the Health Connect app and “Walking” for when walked the dogs. I’m not sure if this is a glitch in the app or if there’s a different way that I need to “save” my activities. One thing I'd like to note. I got the sizing kit before getting the ring. I tried out a few different sizes on different fingers. I settled on a size 7 for my ring fingers. Since I started wearing the ring and learning how to use the app and interpret the data, I've done a lot of research online. During my research, most photos people posted showed the ring on their index finger. I Googled "best finger to wear a smart ring" and most results said the index finger. During the process of getting this ring, I never saw that there's a "best finger" to wear a smart ring on. I’m not sure if I made a mistake in choosing to wear this ring on my ring finger. It leaves me wondering if my experience with my data results could have been more accurate. The Oura Ring seems to be more of an overall health tracking device. I would not consider the ring as a fitness tracking device, as a standalone product. If you have the means, you can get a good overall health and fitness profile by combining the Oura ring with a smartwatch, or other fitness tracking device. Taking that into consideration, I feel the Oura ring is a bit overpriced. Combine that with the fact that, to get all the useful data, you will need to pay $5.99/month or $69.99/year for that data. Being that I’m provided all my data from my smartwatch for free, I really am disappointed that Oura is charging money for their app data.
