The Oura Ring is sleek and innovative, but its value is questionable. Between the high price of the ring and the required subscription, it feels overpriced—especially when competitors like Samsung, Apple, and Garmin offer similar health tracking without ongoing fees. Rings are also easier to lose than watches, making the investment riskier. With competition heating up, and giants like Apple and Google improving battery life and health features, subscription-based models like Oura and Whoop may struggle to stay relevant. The time has come when many people no longer realize how many subscriptions they’re paying for yearly—and in most cases, the total adds up to hundreds of dollars. As awareness grows, more consumers may reject the idea of “renting” wearables.

I purchased this for my wife after her Apple Watch broke. She has enjoyed her Oura ring and wil never revert back to an Apple Watch.

As my eyes get older, the use of a small watch face without my reading glasses is next to impossible. By switching to the ring, I am able to gather the same data for the most part and just dump it directly into my phone.

The product is good but the store only has limited amounts I needed a size 12 or 13. They only had size 11. I purchased it and have regretted it ever since. Also note there is a year or monthly fee. Yearly $69.00 which was not really realized at time of purchase. I have since cancelled this service. Use it as a pinky ring!
