Best 4k blu ray player i ever owned.its a difference maker.dont let the price keep you from biying this player

initially I bought sony x800m2 on amazon on black friday thinking it would be fine without DV auto detection / little better video quality / HDR optimizer. however, I couldn't stand more than 3 days. I paid $200 for sony and $350 for this unit so consider price factor. DV auto detection It was not annoying. however later really get confused if which movies have DV or HDR10.. especially I have many steelbook...there are not infos on the back of steelbook(there is art) or disc. I was not sure if I can manage for next several yrs..

Great player, future proofs me on future TV purchases and ups ales any discs I have.

Great player for the money, top of the line player for reasonable dollar.

The Picture on this unit is just fantastic. It is a step above the Samsung 8500 and Sony x700 (I owned both) While the picture is a step above, the sound is truly where it separates from the pack. It makes my mid level surround sound system sound like it's worth 10k more than i purchased it for. Just spend the extra $ on this, you will not be disappointed. Also-be sure to use it for streaming because it upconverts and makes the sound come out so much better than using your smart tv app!!!

Truly amazing. I have Apple TV 4K and this player is considerably better. I didn’t think it would be noticeable but it’s great. Audio is improved too. Pair this with an oled tv and your life’s purpose will be fulfilled. The operating system for apps is utter garbage, but that’s not what the player is for.

The Panasonic Blu-Ray player was excellent in its ease of installation, picture and audio quality, and (when on sale at Best Buy) an excellent value. My only complaint was it the way the unit was shipped: It was placed in a box that was much too large and it was wrapped in two thin layers of bubble wrap. As a result, it was free to bounce around the inside of the large box during shipping. I was concerned that it was damaged in transit when I opened the box. Luckily, it worked fine once it was installed in my system.

What a player! I upgrader from the UB-900 to this player. WOW is what can say. It has a better processor than the old one and It has Dolby Vision which is great for OLED TV,s. UB-900 was Panasonics top player back in 2016. Of course right now the top player from Panasonic is UB-9000 but its expensive. The UB-820 is definingly worst the asking price. I did get on sale so that's even better.

Have had this player for quite some time now and am extremely pleased with it! With Oppo no longer making players, this seemed to be the next best alternative and it has not disappointed. It has played everything I have thrown at it and the picture is great - the HDR optimizer appears to work as advertised. Definitely better than the Sony 800 it replaced and I do like have a time display back on the front of the unit. Getting it on a big sale was a bonus!

This is one of the best 4K hardware player I purchase. Qauilty sounds & video. The hardware decoding is top notch. it's quite expense but you do get what you pay for.

I'm very happy with this player. It seems to provide a better picture quality than our PS5, especially for Blu-rays and DVDs.

Saw the reviews and hype on Reddit and figured, give it a try. Best 4k UHD player! Now time to upgrade to new speakers and soundbars

Bought this to replace an existing Sony x700 that was starting to have issues. This player seems to have more vibrant colors and better sound quality. Especially noticeable if you have a 4K display and atmos setup. My discs no longer stutter or pause during playback. It is a bit pricier but bought it on sale and entirely worth the upgrade. Highly recommended.

Works great and integrates Dolby Vision with my LG OLED TV and with HDR in general.

After several months with this player, I can confidently say that this solid player. I have zero complaints! Of all the discs I've played on this player (over 50 different blu-rays), I had only one issue. That issue was with Tenet. I'm almost certain it's a disc issue as every other 4K Blu-Ray (and 1080p Blue-Ray) looks fantastic. The tone mapping feature on this player and the upscaling is some of the best. Honestly, after buying this, I have a newfound appreciation for higher-end disc players.

If you’re expecting the best bang for your buck, look no further. Dolby Vision, 4K, the works. You can’t go wrong with this purchase if you’re looking for one of the best UHD Blu-ray players on the market today.

This unit is super easy to connect and use with the handy set up software. Have watched several old DVD’s and it’s like a new movie as it supports upscaling to 4K/8K through my Denon AVR. Very happy with this purchase!

Worth the price if you want Dolby Vision HDR and Atmos when streaming from Netflix Or Amazon. Only player I know that can get both DV and Atmos at the same time. Also it can adjust the HDR settings for your display whether Projector or 1080pp TV when you play 4K UHD source or any source for that matter
