I did some research and this unit was rated the highest in the price point I was looking at. It performs light years ahead of the Samsung I had prior!

Since OPPO dropped out of the dvd business, I studied and researched blu ray players for the latest and greatest. The Panasonic DP-UB820 was and is my answer, so far a great blu ray player.

This full 4K DVD player has everything you would need in the top of the line player at a decent price. My opinion that I perform as the Oppo which was the previous top player according to all reviews. I have both and can attest to that.

LOVE this machine! My 2016 Samsung has 4k with HDR and this player not only is an excellent performer with HDR but has every feature I will need it the future. The player is SO quiet and loads movies very quickly.

this is one of the most premere blu-ray player it has the best picture of all the blu-ray players.

Just does up conversation like mo other player. Easy to use n good build .not as nice looking as my old oppo .but it out performance it. Let's hope it function as long. Will see .happy right now though.

My first true 4K player, was using Xbox and this is a better player. PQ and SQ has improved and loads faster. The 3D is good with some ghosting that I didn’t have with Xbox. I need to buy more 4K movies.

We hadn't upgraded our Blu-ray player in about 5 years. What a step-up this one is. Setup was easily and the unit paired effortlessly with our 4K TV and other components. Picture quality is very strong with 4K UHD discs and when we tried standard Blu-ray discs, the upgrade was very impressive. We had zero trouble adjusting to the remote unit and, overall, we're thrilled with this purchase. We found considerable savings by purchasing a unit that had been returned for some reason. Not a single cosmetic blemish, all instructions intact and it made for a substantial savings. Wish we'd done it sooner.

This is an amazing player. Picture is so much better than my Xbox one x. I got it on sale and also had like $135 in Best Buy rewards. So it was a good deal for me.

Fantastic Blu-ray/4K player. Improves both image resolution and sound quality. Using in dedicated home theatre with Denon AVR and BenQ 4K projector. Who needs to leave the house to go to the movies anymore?!

Sure you can stream in 4k but sometimes you would love to see a signature film in real high def. This player has all the bells and whistles. But the cost is higher than other players.

This is an awesome player. Having experienced the Reference oppo 203 in the past, I can say this rivals that in performance and in some areas even surpasses It. Has most of the features of the expensive $1k 900 model.

Nice 4k player only downside is the remote is garbage. The remote is cheap plastic. For a $500 4k player you would expect better. I do appreciate the automatic switching to Dolby vision. It isn't manual like on the Sony

If you care at all about speed of loading or picture quality get this. It loads lightning fast. No comparison with other players. Picture quality brings new life to my movies.

Purchased this this to complement my 4K tv. Needed the surround audio outs as I have a great legacy receiver I'm not ready to replace. I've only had it a couple of weeks but so far very impressed.

Excellent player. Picture in Dolby Vision looks amazing on my OLED tv. Hughly recommend this smart, beautifully crafted UHD player. Well done Panasonic!

The player is really good. I got it to future proof my dvd's, blurays and 4K disks. So far I really like the player but it has an overwhelming amount of options (not a bad thing). I wish the downloaded manual was more precise and detailed, I struggle to understand every little nuance and tinkering with it. But I would buy it again. Nice player!

I dont have another 4k player to compare to but was looking for a player that could handle sound (dolby atmos and dts-hd) as well as HDR (dolby vision and HDR 10+). Haven't had any issues playing discs. Dont use streaming on this device at all.
