If you're in the market for a 4k player, this is the one you should get. The cheaper ones will freeze up at layer changes on larger discs (and sometimes for no apparent reason at all), and the more expensive ones are charging you a big prestige cost markup for features that won't improve the experience for the vast majority of home theaters. This one will just play all your movies without a hitch with quality, detail, and color depth that blows streaming and 1080p out of the water.

I purchased this player after returning the UB420 model and I must say that I'm satisfied with this one. The reason I returned the first one was because the box looked like it was previously used because the box was taped up and it didn't have Dolby Vision in it and it really makes a difference for my home theater. This one also looks more premium than the first one with a nicer finish. The HDR tone mapping is an awesome feature I didn't know that I wanted. It improves the quality of even my regular DVDs. Very satisfied with my upgrade.

The unit does what it is supposed to do. It exceeds any other unit in its price range. I would recommend it to anyone. works great with my Home Theater System.

What can I say this player does it all and very well. Hooked to my LG 55" C3 OLED the picture is perfect. The sound processor is very accurate and my home theater has sounded better.

The quality of this player has to be seen to be believed! Especially if paired with a high quality TV(65"CX Oled). I instantly could see the difference in playing both Blu Ray and 4k UHD discs, I do not use this for streaming and have heard that is the only drawback so be wary if that is your need. Compared to the LG UBK90, this is definitely a premium product, and I have loved that player and it is now in my bedroom to accompany my C8 oled. I found this by some weird chance as an open box and it appears to be in as close to new condition as it possibly could be.

Bought to replace old Samsung UHD player that was getting noisy. I like my blu rays for the superior sound quality. Not disappointed in this Panasonic.

I needed Analog audio outputs to feed sound to an older Bose 321 and this did the trick nicely!

Not all blu ray players are the same. This is truly the best blu ray player Ive owned and Ive had high end samsung LG and Sony disc players. This playeris sooo good I had to purchase multiple. Quality doesnt come cheap. Dont splurge on a nice high end TV and skimp on the blu ray player. This is the cremdelacrem of disc players. Yes this player is pricey but it is worth it. You will see a difference when you play movies. If you have the money to make this purchase you wont regret it.

This player is astounding! Everything about it is perfect aside from one flaw. Randomly about 20 min into the movie (almost every movie) it just shuts off. Not a huge deal, I just turn it back on and continue the movie. I returned the product 3 different times and still. It does the same thing. So I’m assuming it’s just something that happens with this player. Aside from that it’s incredible!

I cannot speak highly enough about this fantastic piece of tech. It provides a beautiful image, stunning resolution with 60 fps, if the video supports it. This is a rare combination and, from what i understand, the device is also region free, to an extent, playing Blu-ray discs from region a, b and c, as it does with dvd’s and the large amount of region codes that format has attached to it. Just excellent, pricey, but arguably the best player available at this time.

I purchased this 4K player after doing so much research on the Internet.I have previously owned competitors 4K Blu-ray players and they do not stack up compared to this player. Yes this player cost a little bit more money but it is absolutely worth every penny. The picture and sound quality produced from this player as well as its features, it cannot be beat. If you are a movie love her and want to enjoy your 4K movies at their fullest I highly recommend purchasing this player for your home theater

This player supports everything. It’s pretty responsive and the picture quality is excellent. It interface does not crash and is responsive. I replace my Sony player that kept crashing in the middle of a movie or failed to respond and so far this player is far better.

SO FAR SO GOOD IT PERFORMS AS EXPECTED. TOO BAD THE REMOTE ISN'T BACKLIT AND THE PLAYER ITSELF ISN'T THX CERTIFIED. I HAVE AN OLDER PANASONIC DMP UB 900 BUT IT DOES NOT HAVE DOLBY VISION THAT IS WHY I PURCHASED THE DP UB 820.

Plays all high end DVDs accurately (ultra 4k). Fast with plenty of features. Menus are archaic and much of the on-screen information is more technical than necessary. If you don't care about what's going on in the background, this is a great player.

If you are after the best UHD disk player to go with your main viewing TV (not projector) this is an awesome choice. The Panasonic DP-UB820 is amazing. I'm a physical media guy with close to 350 discs and so far this player send amazing video quality to my OLED TV and amazing audio to my Marantz AVR. Worth every penny.

Good UHD quality and upscaling. Fold down face/dust protector is nice. Plenty of smart features but I wish they would change the remote lay out a bit.
