I got tired of manually switching the Sony in and out of Dolby Vision so I got the Panasonic which automatically detects D.V. I also like the extra control I have over audio and video settings.

This player is just as good as the other reviews states. The upscaling is good, and saves the time you stopped the movie every time which is an amazing feature that is unreliable on other players.

Very happy with this purchase, everything I play works out perfectly (with the exception of PAL DVDs, which are not supported). App store is very limited with selection but I use my TV for that mostly. Pretty much good to go right out of the box!

does what one needs a media player to do - plays DVD, Blu-ray, 4k, CD, etc. good product, would recommend to anybody.

Heck of a player! Loads quick,starts play quick, beautiful playback! Cheap plastic body,but apparently the goods are in the electronics. You want similar performance but metal body,go next model up,twice the price. I'm very impressed with performance of this machine!

Lots of options in the menu, very reliable, quiet and the most important is how great 4k movies are played with this device connected to a high end 4k smart tv. This Panasonic does not disappoint.

The key to this Panny player is the tone mapping which improves the dark-to-bright contrast for high-contrast (HDR) UHD disks. It works brilliantly to maximize the visuals of today's display devices. However, it can also make standard Blu Ray discs look spectacular.

Great video output, but the chassis mechanicals could use some better design. The current chassis places the physical buttons on TOP of the chassis, instead of on the front. Thus to actually use these buttons you either can't stack another piece of gear on top, or you need to set that piece back far enough to get access to the buttons. From what I can guess, this was done to allow the entire front to be black. Personally, I would have preferred a couple capacitance sensed (i.e., non-mechanical) switches. This solid front also means that the entire front must tilt down in order to insert or remove a disc.

Panasonic did a great job, very quiet 4k UHD Blu-Ray Player, highly recommend!

Great 4k player! Picture is amazing thanks to the fine tuning adjustments built into this player. Had a LG that was a nice player but this unit takes it to a whole new level, Your discs have never looked or sounded better!

I love the sharp colors and the great sound i recommend this to anyone 8n the market for a 4K player.
