Customers are satisfied with the fun and engaging gameplay, finding it a good mix of traditional elements and challenging aspects. The game's ease of use is also praised, with many noting its accessibility for short play sessions. Stick with Mario Land 3D and New Super Mario 2. This game is not that great. I like some of the Paper Mario games but this one was just not good.

Game is different from the Paper Mario games we know and love. It feels as though you are forced to deplete your inventory of stickers which seem harder and harder to come by as the game progresses. It's also difficult to dodge the attacks. I'm trying to get the hang of it.

    A new twist on a classic sub-series

Paper Mario: Sticker Star has been a title that has been making some gamers question if this is a title for them. I'm glad to say that it totally is, but you just have to be willing to accept change. The focus on stickers over traditional RPG elements is nothing to be afraid of; variety is the spice of life. This game packs all the things that makes the Paper Mario series great, and charming; the package is just different this time. I recommend you give it a try, and draw your own opinion!

I loved the paper mario on the N64 and on Gamecube and decided to try out sticker star for my new DS. The story line is always the same, Peach gets kidnapped and has to be saved by Mario. In this case you also have to use the stickers that was at Peachs castle and destroy the enemies. At first I liked it but after I thought I got a hang of it, I was lost. Most games have a hint to keep you moving and adventuring through the plot. This more challenging because I don't see or get the hints that are in this game. Other then this It is a fun game and very original.

    Disappointing if you're a fan.

While this game IS fun and well made, I admit that my disappointment comes from having been such a fan of the previous titles in this series. The fun and engaging story lines and the character development (of admittedly 2-dimensional characters ^_^; ) make you fall in love with the adventure in front of you... and "Sticker Star" has none of that. Unlike the prior titles that have an expansive cast of characters, this has just Mario; Luigi only appears as a sticker that you find once in a while. And the story boils down to "Bowser is bad because of course he is, and you're going to stop him because of course you will." Without a good story, you're just collecting stickers for the sake of collecting sticker... which gets old after a while. It's STILL a good game. It's pretty. It has some good humor to it. The 3D actually works in this 2D environment. The sticker mechanic IS well implemented and fun. But, while things do get a bit interesting at the end, the first 90% is like a dead spot that you need to get through to reach that little nugget of interesting. People who loved the first three games for their stories and characters beware.

The good titles always command the most money. Nintendo consistently offers good game play for their main stable of characters, bu the cost has remained the same for the past year. I was finally able to buy this at a reasonable price, but of course much later then when it was first released. Worth the wait.

Good Paper Mario Games for New Fans.

Paper Mario Sticker Star has great 3D graphics and Great Music, but Storyline falls short and gameplay is a bit bare bones. I highly recommend this game to New Fans of the Paper Mario Series but not to the Veteran Fans.

Meh, it's a different approach to mario but it's not a bad game. I'd watch some videos on it before buying it. It's not your typical platform mario game, but still the paper mario approach with a "stamp" type of fighting style in-game and more of searching for clues and what not.

A Solid Game in the Series

I've played the past Paper Mario games and they've all been great, this one included. I'd place Sticker Star on the lower end of the spectrum series-wise but it's still worth a play-through.

Excellent game. If you liked any of the previous entries into the Paper Mario series, you will love this game. It's the same basic premise, with little added twists here and there that will surprise and delight you. Definitely a must have for fans of this series.

It's the same mario formula that nintendo has been using since ever, but if you want to clear your mind and a change of scenery go for it!

Bought this for my brother, as he is a big fan of the other Paper Mario games and yet he couldn't even finish this one. He says it lack the fun characters and story of the other games and the gameplay lacks direction, as there as specific things required to beat bosses and such that aren't apparent and acquiring them can be tedious.

The game looks like a living popup mario book. The core fighting mechanics are fun, but seem pointless due to a lack of leveling.

Not the paper mario you expect

If you are expecting a paper mario game similar to the gamecube and n64 versions you will be highly disappointed made by a new gaming studios there are some changes made to the game in which one must collect stickers to move ahead in the game with no indication of where these stickers may be it is annoying since you could miss a sticker that is vital to progressing in the story
