Save your money. Its not meant to be used on all TVs. Its not the same PS3 remote were it works automatically with Sony smart tv and PS4.

If you had the ps3 remote you will hate this unit.They remapped the buttons and it is horrible.It will not work with television without switching between ps4 and tv function unlike the ps3 remote.If you do not truly need it skip it.

I exchanged it thinking something wrong with it but the second one is as bad as the first one, there is no connection between the ps4 and control even though the Ps4 says is connected.

My wife and I use my PS4 to stream content from youtube TV, VUDU, Hulu, Netflix, Disney+, etc... We bought this remote about a year ago and it held up several months and then the PS4 function of the remote wouldn't respond after 1 or 2 button clicks. We finally decided to replace it once it wouldn't control our sound bar. We bought a new on Friday and had to take it back to the store on Sunday because the Playstation function wouldn't work after 1 or 2 button clicks... here's hoping the replacement lasts longer.

hard to find find the instructions, had to go online. instructions are confusing for set up,had to play around with it to get it to actually program right, still don't have the cable box programmed can't find. the right code

I was hoping to use this as the only remote for my PS4-based entertainment center. It doesn't quite work the same way as the dual shock controllers. For example: in some apps you can use the circle button to back out of the current screen; this remote has a circle button, but it doesn't always have the same behavior depending on the app. It does control the TV well, but after several months it was so flaky when trying to control the PS4 that I gave up on it and just use the dual shock now.

The remote powers off which is just an annoyance. It doesn't work consistently with video apps: Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, ... It's not work the money. The PS3 remote was great but that was made by Sony. This one isn't made by Sony.

I purchased this remote but it is very tough to program. It does not always work with the Roku as it should. If I had knew what I know now, I probably would go a different way than this remote

So far I have only been able to get the device to raise and lower the volume. Should have an online video instruction manual.

Bought this to use with the PlayStation Vue app. It does not. Remote worked fine for a day or two, then stopped being useful. Won't turn off system AV receiver either. It's garbage.

This remote seems to have a mind of its own it will turn on my PlayStation but then won't work as a remote unless I turn the PlayStation back off and turn it on without using the remote

Wanted something to simplify my gaming and entertainment set up. This was not the remote for that. To many buttons that have no use. The remote didn’t last a year.

Dont buy its a waste of money. Battery has to be changes weekly and the features of the controller are not worth it.

After finally managing to Get the remote programmed it only works half of the time and after pressing the buttons multiple times

I got this Official Universal Media Remote for free when I purchased a PlayStation 4. I wasn't able to program it to control all of the devices it was supposed to.

The remote powered on and I was able to pair it with my PS4. Shortly thereafter it turned unresponsive. New batteries did not help or trying to "find" it with other bluetooth devices. I am not sure if this is a quality control issue and im one of the few experiencing the problem or if it is widespread. Sony should allow the ps3 remote to be used with the PS4 or maybe not outsource this "official" remote.

Does not control audio even though I’ve run the setup multiple times. Does not work well with PlayStation Vue. Dave your money.

I dunno why it is not working with My Sony Bravia I will have a Geek Squad guy come out and try. So far not so good

Wont stay connected to my ps4 . So mid movie cant pause . Its so annoying. Wish I wouldve returned it. Its useless.

Remote control pairs with the PS4 nicely. That's about the only good thing about it. Controls are touchy and pairing with the TV and the console is not smooth.
