This remote has not worked for me since day one. They gave me a hard time when I tried to return it. So it is just collecting dust.

These remotes are awful. Against my better judgment I bought one for the ps4 after having my 2 for the ps3 die. Junk Junk Junk. Stay away

this remote is ok, at best. It does lack more functionality as you can't use the circle button to go back when watching shows on hulu

Works fine with my PS4 but doesn't work with my sony tv. Huge let down but great if you don't mind using two remotes.

Did not work out of the box. Will be returning. Bummed that Sony doesn't have an official remote for the PS4.

Start with the bad - this controller DOES NOT control Vudu, Youtube, or Crackle. Mind boggling that Sony would release an officially licensed remote that is meant for media navigation, and only enable the device to control half of the media services. Living in the digital, stream happy world, it's frustrating to not be able to control several streaming applications. Take Vudu for example - once the app is opened, you can't control a thing except exiting the app via the PS button. You've got to go back to your PS4 controller to navigate within VUDU. On the plus side, it is an actual universal remote. I was able to easily program my PS4, Samsung TV, and Yamaha amp in minutes. Some applications do work well such as: Netflix and WWE Network. I think Sony prematurely released a product that was only partially ready for launch. The remote itself is great and works well, so hopefully there will be future updates to enable the controller to successfully navigate ALL of the PS4 apps and streaming services.

I connect the remote via bluetooth and it always finds a way to disconnect.

The remote does not work like a normal remote, you still have to use the symbols to control the movies.

Very disappointed. I set it up and it worked for a while. Since then it has been hit and miss at best.

Changed batteries, but still no responce for my refurbished PS4 from Best Buy.

My husband used his controller instead of the remote.

Mine must be defective, does not work. I hope Best Buy returns it.

Its total garbage. I rerurned mine. Waste of money. Do not buy.

I wanted to give this less stars, but the DVD/Blu-ray functionality is perfect. Outside of that, this remote is rushed, at best. First of all, there is a known and seemingly (if you ask the manufacturer) not fixable problem with the programming of the AMP. It just doesn't program when you punch in the codes manually or automatically. Outside of the full functionality of the DVD/Blu-ray, you cannot control media and other apps properly. Once you get past the navigation of the main system menu screens, you have to go back to a standard PS4 controller to do anything, thus negating the reason for the Universal PS4 remote in the first place. All in all, as stated before, this product feels rushed and quite frankly unacceptable when a controller came out for the PS3 that has full functionality in everything you do with it. I hope there is another try with this or possibly a fix for the people that bought this day one that can rectify the situation. Again, please buy with caution.

I'm happy to finally have a TV like remote for the PS4. I can't give it the full 5 stars however because it doesn't have L1 L2 L3 R1 R2 and R3 buttons, and those really come in handy when watching WWE Network or Amazon Prime video, and I also don't like having to turn the remote back on after a few minutes of no use, but overall it gets the job done and I'm glad I bought it.

I really wanted this remote because I would often bump the controller ever so slightly while it was on the floor or the couch and it would cause the L2 or R2 button to think it was being pressed, which would rewind/fastforward what I was watching. This remote does fix that problem. However, the Universal remote functions don't work with my (2010) Westinghouse widescreen TV. Pros- Absolutely great for BR/DVD Playback, Netflix, Crunchyroll, and Funimation apps. Cons- Doesn't work with some TVs, may have better luck with newer TVs or Sony TVs. Not good for playback on Hulu app (The app can navigate, pause, and play but you cannot go back to previous menus, you have to close Hulu and reopen it to go back. For some reason Hulu disabled the Circle/X/Square buttons go back a menu on this remote, hopefully this can be fixed with an app update). All in all, I'm quite pleased this purchase.
