Wanted something I could use to control my ps4, tv, and stereo. This remote has been great at achieving all that. May be a little tricky to set up for some, going through all the universal codes. If you follow the directions properly you shouldn’t have any problems.

Chances are, you are considering this remote to control video streaming apps on your PS4. You will constantly be finding yourself looking for the 'back' and 'menu' buttons. Stick with teh controller. Also, the controller goes to sleep, which is strange - a remote that goes to sleep? The PS3 remote did not do that and performed considerably better than this remote.

Hard to set up for some reason. And good luck trying to explain this to a parent or girlfriend...lol

This is a real train wreck of an execution. PS Vue on screen menus often refer to L1 and R1. PDP Remote is missing L1-3 and R1-3, while red and green button provide R1 and L1 functions they are not labeled and therefore useless for anyone without special knowledge.. Many of the buttons do nothing like 'Page-up' and 'Page-Down" referenced on onscreen PS Vue menu, but do nothing on remote leading users to feel that the remote is not functioning, which is all too common for other working buttons since the bluetooth commands turn off when the remote auto-powers down... with no indicator. X, O, Square and Triangle buttons are in a row, not standard "Diamond" position established on game controller, you're familiar use is squandered. It means you have to bring up the lights and look at the remote frequently to operate. Only good features; you can map your amps volume on volume buttons and have dedicated tv power button.

A must-have accessory if you plan to use your PS4 as a primary Blu-ray or media player. Hated that Sony didn't make the Bluetooth remote for the PS3 compatible with the PS4, but I was luckily able to get this guy, which also has programmable features for TV, Receiver, etc.

I have a “sharp” tv and programming the remote was a little difficult at first but then once I figured it out, it worked fine !

The remote functions as intended. I was able to program it to my TV, and receiver and it works flawless with the PS4.

Great for using my PS4 for media controls my sound bar and tv as well. Very good.

This remote work. Looks nice, feels like a regular remote. You can control your PS4, TV, AMP and Cable Box.

Makes the Blu-ray easy and is part of an upgrade to our electronics in order to get blu-ray and gaming

I hate that my normal universal remotes don't work for PS4, but this works wonderfully. It connects to your PS4 via Bluetooth and can also control your TV, cable box, and soundbar. It also has programmable buttons, so you can really customize your control.

I’m not sure why Ieven bought this. I don’t think I’ve used once since setting it up

This is my second remote, the first one i lost in a house fire, so I was glad to be able to buy another one .

Quality product, no more accidental rewinding. Slightly inconvenient switching between TV and PS4 for volume controls. Overall would recommend.

Bought this after my trusty PS3 remote failed to function on my new PS4. I quickly discovered that the PS4 version likes to power down often and takes several (very several) seconds to reconnect and has to be prompted manually. THEN, I accidentally knocked it off the arm rest of my couch. Broken. The IR universal aspects to my TV and receiver are ok, but the Bluetooth link to the PS4 is gone. Buy this if you really need it, but don't expect much.

This remote replaces an old PS3 remote that ended up unusable due to corroded battery. It works great with my older unit

I had high expectations for this remote. I was able to connect it to my PS4 and 55 inch Television, but the remote was not recognizing my sound system. My whole point of buying this product was to eliminate the need of having separate controls for all my systems, and unfortunately for me, this remote was not able to fulfill my needs and I had to return it

The remote is really useful some times is kind of annoying having to change the mode to use it but still better than having 3 or 4 remotes

Bought it soon after owning a PS4 since the remote controller does not have a good support for media functions on the PS4. Just like the PS3 version, this media remote pairs easily and it does what I need it to do. Its build quality is on par with the PS3 version. Overall I like it.

Greatly improves the media experience of using a PS4 for movies and streaming. The remote auto powers down after a while and you have to press a button for a second until the little red light blinks before you can use it. No more accidental fast forward because you bump your controller!
