    Unreliable

These light bulbs didn’t work out for me. Sometimes they worked, but most of the time they were unresponsive. Maybe they were duds, but no one wants a light bulb that is unreliable. Had to return.

    Constantly resets itself

I don't know if the problem is the bulb or the app, but it constantly rests itself and turns off the timer settings. This makes it all but useless as a "smart bulb". I have 20 year old manual light timers that work to this day so I may go back to those.

I only gave this a 1 star rating because I should have been informed that I need a Hue Bridge to operate remotely... which was the sole purpose for purchasing. The bluetooth set up was easy however.

These bulbs are expensive, not bright, and very bulky. I'm also sure there is hazardous chemicals inside and the energy required to manufacture them is greater. Not a very green bulb.

I purchased some smart bulbs from Costco. Nothing but troubles trying to set them up. Finally gave up and purchased more Phillips Hue bulbs. You still good Instant set up.

Don’t get this. This is a waste of money. I would rather buy a clapper than this item.

Not what I expected. It’s not bright as I thought and I would rather go with the $20-$25 budget light bulb

The light needed to be brighter. I am not used to such low light. The technology needs to be improved.

Best way to get a smart home

Hands down the best way to get into the Hue ecosystem that doesn’t require the hub. We have the Google home setup, and having these make life sooo much easier. For those that might be concerned the 60watt equivalent isn’t enough brightness don’t be swayed. These are bright and an “affordable” version of the smart home starter. Setup was super easy, just turn on the lights and google recognized them all.

Adding a bulb is easy once you have the bridge and app set up. The app automatically detects the bulb once you plug it in. I use the alexa for most of my smart home stuff and the hue bulbs integrate easily into the alexa ecosystem.
