    Perfect for simple smart lighting

I already have the hue hub, so these cheap little smart bulbs are perfect for rooms that don’t need any color changing. They are just warm white. My office will never need color or even white temp changes so these were the perfect solution to connect my office lighting.

Enjoy Alexa functionality. Very convenient to be Able to remotely control lights. Suggest you write down the bulb number found in neck of bulb before putting it into a fixture that is difficult to access. Occasionally necessary to reconnect bulbs and will need that number

truly the easiest plug and play buy for me. I have had this product before and I needed to replaced a now 5 year old Hue bulb that died. So I am expecting another 5 years before having to replace this one.

Just like the C by GE, the wireless chips in these things are terrible. If you need more than about 3 lights to be controlled in close proximity to one another, such as in the same neighborhood, they simply won't work. Not sure why exactly, but apparently about 3 is the maximum that can be within a few miles of one another and still understand how to communicate with the phone or router you've got literally a few feet, to tens of feet, away. My entire house is less than 1000 sq ft, and I can't run even 3 smart lights together, regardless of brand, even with a wireless router that has usable signal a quarter mile from my house on the same frequency these bulbs use. Can't even use them as regular bulbs because they lose pairing and then just blink forever, or until you re-pair them, but by the time you do that the others start blinking because they apparently just need social distancing regardless of whether or not Covid-19 exists.

Alexa controls the lights. It can turn on individual lights or all of them with the command “Alexa, let there be light.” They all go off with “Alexa, good night.” Makes it easier in the middle of the night having to search for light switches.

We have several Hue lights already and the base and they are super easy to setup and the app has gotten much better for controlling them. Having these lights makes it great for coming home to a house that is lit up or being able to turn lights on and off remotely.

I added these to my system for rooms that little people tend to not turn the lights off in. I set them to a schedule so I always know that the lights will be off no matter what. They work great for us. The price point is perfect for adding on to an already established system.
