What can you really say about this other then you have to have the bridge if you want to use hue lights in your home. It is every easy to set up and small enough to hide away. I haven't had any issues with it.

Philips Hue is perhaps best known for it's interoperability with a large number of apps and services. It has an open API that lets just about any developer create an app or service that works with the Hue system. This Hue bridge is necessary to control most Hue lights (a select few have limited control without the bridge). One bridge supports up to 50 lights. It lets you divide the lights into rooms so they can be controlled together; or you could operate each light independently. If you want to be able to turn the lights on and off with physical wall switches like you can with a traditional light, you will need to buy a compatible Hue switch (there are a couple different types available).

    Hue Bridge 2.0

I got the hue bridge 2.0 because of two reasons. 1 Hue doesn't due tech services with the 1.0 anymore what ever that would be needed for. 2 if you have a tv light bar and want to use your computer for the color sync app that lets you actually sync the color to your tv or monitor. the computer app is only compatible with the 2.0 Hue Bridge version not the Hue 1.0 . It works good.

This is a good product that is fairly easy to set up. I wish it had a better range regarding the distance the lights can be from the bridge - but for a small home or a single story area - it is good.

I've had another brand of smart lights for a couple of years and avoided Hue because of the price. I ended up purchasing some lights and hub during a sale and now wonder why I waited so long. There are more colors (can actually see subtle differences) and the colors are richer than with the other brand I have. There are numerous third party apps that give the Hue lights greater functionality. On top of that, the reliability of these lights has been great.

The hue bridge is a necessity when setting up any hue products to your lighting automation. very easy to set up. When i first set this up i noticed that my wifi signal would drop to a very low speed, sometimes dropping my connection to my devices. this is because the hub uses a signal similar to what your router/ modem uses. change the channel on your router if you witness this problem. I found this out by visiting a couple of YouTube channels and i was back up with no problem.

Hue bridge is easy to use and connect devices. Disappointing they don’t have a package for the br30 lights and or hue strips. I purchased this to use for those lights. Otherwise product works great. Sometimes there’s issues where it states it’s connected but when I turn it on from the app it doesn’t turn on. So I’ll close the app and wait then it will work.

I've owned the Hue Bridge 2nd generation for almost a year now and I have been very pleased with how well it works. I have 8 lights connected and they all work seamlessly with all my home automation tasks. Siri, Alexa, IFTTT all work great with Hue. Lights may looks connection from time to time, but just try toggling them on and off again and they should be good to go. One caveat, make sure lights are close enough to the bridge (20 or so meters I believe is the max distance they can be).

The Bridge opened up a world of smart-home lighting options that has really wowed me. It's great to be able to control our lights from anywhere in the house, on multiple smart devices. Getting refurbished was a great deal as well, so far no signs of wear/tear and everything is working as advertised.

I'm the one customer that you really don't want to sell anythig to, Murphy's Law is always in effect whatever could go wrong will go wrong. The more technical the higher the probability. But with this product right out the box it hooked right to my smartphone and I added my first bulb, months later I'm up to 6 bulbs and it's a pleasure to have total control over them set the mood in the house with just one touch or even have it activate when I walk in the room. There's Hope for me yet love this bridge

This hue light is fantastic! It’s so fun to have for the house, we have it set up in our living room and have such a fun time with it nights when the weekends arrive. You can control the lights from your phone, not such a complex set up.

Why is this so expensive! Its crazy to pay so much for an item that on its own does nothing for you, this should be reduced in price to make the rest of the Phillips Hue products more desirable. There are other lights out there that don't require a hub. The only benefit this offers is the ability to control lights when you are not at home. (But this is an additional feature you need to set up).
