Works as expected but really only useful if you have multiple lights in multiple locations

I don't have any experience with the first generation bridge, but I can't imagine how they could possibly make set-up any easier than they did on the second generation. It works perfectly, and adding additional bulbs and hue products takes seconds.

I was skeptical about going the phillips hue route but man this thing is awesome. Highly recommend

Hue Bridge opens a world of essential features that is needed to bring together all of your Hue Philips family devices. This is a must get. The brains of the Philip hue family. Essential.

Easy set up, plug into the router, start up the app and done. App is straightforward, somewhat intuitive. After a few button pushes and fumbling around, it became simple to control, and very flexible in changing colors and brightness.

Works great! I am using it to control light strips for my TV.

Been using their lights forever! Needed a second bridge to help set up lights for a family member. Philips Hue is the best, most reliable smart lighting solution on the market! Would definitely recommend.

All you need is to download the app and plug in the bridge to your router and you are all set. It is very easy to add lights threw the app, the only thing that I kind have an issue with is the app it is a little clunky.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Pillips Hue lighting system. I have beautifully colored rooms to match my mood. It does take some time to change over to using your cellular device rather than a light switch, but not really!

But the app sucks. Even after the update, it's still complicated. And it's worse if you have more than one Bridge at different locations. Simple things need contacting support. And support is only through Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. Takes hours to get a simple question answered.

Purchased as a gift for my son. He had to show me once he had it set up and I want them for myself now! He had a hard time setting them up but once they were completely set up they work great.

Looks exactly like the one that comes with the starter kit. Phillips charge’s too much for just the hub. Works fine if you get a working one the 1st time

It works well within your home. Inexpensive and easy to activate. I had a problem controlling two Hue Bridges in two different homes. Google wants to integrate all of it into Google Home, but it isn't quite seamless yet. Google Home has to catch up to the products they support.

Went off the deep end and bought a TON of Phillips HUE lights and Google home stuff, love how they all integrate together using this hub. Easy as pie to setup!

Love this bridge! Connects everything within my apt, and all my smart devices all groups into one place. I love the simple user friendly interface, and the price is fair for what you're getting.

So glad we purchased this. We love having our lights come on and go off automatically with the settings. It was very easy to setup. Just plug it in and go.

Improved range and the reliability from new hue bridge

I hate the idea of having to upgrade/replace smart devices already, but this does add a new level of control and integration to my hue devices It was simple to install and found all my devices, no problem.

If you want your echo to respond to voice & cell this is the bridge to get!!! After going cheap and buying another hub/bridge that did not work, I decided to spend the money and buy this bridge and it works like a CHARM!!!

Awesome product. Part of the philips hue lights. Great for movies and setting the mood. Easy to set up.
