It's a bridge and unfortunately you NEED it. Because it's a need and not WANT, it has to get at Star rating.

This was required for the hue lights to be managed as IoT devices. Cheap plastic for the price.

This struggled to sync with our router for about the first 20 tries. Final it connected and haven't had an issue since. It does need to be plugged into your router...but you can also use a spare port on a cable box.

Other than having to reset the router to install the first update everything is straight forward. Gotta love turning on lights with your voice.

I had the older version. It was still working great, but this update allowed for Siri HomeKit! Now I just say, "Siri, turn on the Living Room." It's that easy!

works well with connecting multiple lights together , but you need to download a different app for this unit instead of using the original one if your running just with Bluetooth.

able to use the app with two different homes, wish I could have same room name in two different houses, but not sure how to set it up

This is an upgrade to my Hue Bridge. It installed quickly and easily, carrying over the settings on the previous Hue Bridge.

Works well enough, only issue is that its a ugly sight w a bunch of wires hanging off of it

The Philip's hue works well but it does lose its connection which is annoying because then it takes a very long time for it to reconnect. Over all ot works great.

It works and it's faster to respond than my LIFX setup. Seamless with Siri and Google Home!
