    Great device; imperfect second hub

This was installed as a second hub as I had maxed out 50 devices on first hub. In general love the Hue hubs and devices. Second hub a bit annoying as automations cannot "cross over hub devices". Additionally when opening app have to toggle between hubs and associated devices. Overall would buy again but software could improve.

Product easy to set up, but it's hit and miss if it controls the lights. Some of the lights don't work some go off whenever they want. I regret this purchase now.

This pretty much works as advertised but it’s a little difficult to connect to other smart home apps. I had to call customer service a couple times.

    Doesn't do what I wanted

Wanted to assign my upstairs lights to a bridge upstairs and my downstairs lights to a bridge downstairs that could be centrally controlled, either from Google Assistant, or the Hue app. In other words wanted the bridges to communicate over my network like they were a single bridge. Current Hue technology doesn't allow that. If using the Hue app you have to switch between the bridges to control the lights on a particular bridge and can only get Google Assistant to see one bridge.

I’m assuming if you’re looking at this review you’re looking to get the whole lighting package so you can sync your lights with your TV. I was excited to do the same. Shelled out $450 for the sync box, bridge, and light sticks. At first things were great but I started encountering a very bad issue that completely ruins the product. In order to sync your TV you have to connect your HDMI’s to the sync box. My issue has been that my sync box will turn off on it own constantly! Playing my ps5 is impossible because the sync box shuts everything down. I searched all over the internet for a solution and as I find more people who have this issue I’m realizing Phillips is fully aware of this issue and has not done anything about it for over a year. That’s my experience. Not worth the $450 the whole set up costs with this issue. Look into cheaper options.

    Replaced 1st Gen

My 1st gen hue bridge died and wouldn't connect anymore. Ran out and bought this a a replacement. It does work as intended. The only bad thing i can say is that we had a lot of lights and being that they were programmed to the other bridge that died, We had to manually put in the serial number for each light for the new bridge to pick them up. Very frustrating. But after they were recognized, everything was back to normal...groups, schedules and settings.

    Hassle, Zero Benefit to Upgrade

I bought this in order to upgrade from my version 1 unit. What a hassle. Would Not sync my Hue strip, or even come up as available on the Philips Hue site. After alot of work, got it to work, but still have issues with my Wink System. If this is an upgrade, and your current system works, do yourself a favor and leave it alone. Makes me consider other manufacturers now.

Purchased 2 Hue lamps and returned this item. Hue lamps have Bluetooth so the Bridge wasn’t necessary.
