You need multiple parts that cost hundreds of dollars not to mention these lights that were well above 200 dollars already

Can use two of them in the same sync box. Plus this has two areas of lights they are out and has to be returned. Shipping took over 20 days as well. Overall a bad experience.

My sister said she liked the gift. I thought it was too expensive and i hate having to buy separate components to get full functionality

$$$ you spend $300 then you have to spend $400 to hook up everything up

A 5 star experience should have been posted here, but please hear me out. I wish that I could have given this product 5 stars, but because of the intermittent "flicker" due to an internal short in the light bar, it took it from an awesome experience when it was momentarily working properly, to a disappointing movie/gaming distraction, that is impossible to ignore! Returned it. ☹

Does not work as it should with buying the bridge and then the sync box. Waste of money to buy all of this and especially since it won’t change with the tv if the app you are using is already on the tv. I returned everything

Lights are prettt nice but are a bit fragile with wiring. Hard to set up

The lightstrip is much dimmer than I was expecting it to be and after just a few days the lightstrip started to slowly flicker like I was turning it off and on once or twice and then right when I was 4 days out of the return policy it stopped working entirely.

Arrived missing a mounting bracket. Customer service was no help. So much for, "Geek Squad® Certified Refurbished products being thoroughly, painstakingly and lovingly tested." I returned the light and reordered. Let's hope the new one is complete.

Absolute garbage. Do not waste your money. Worst mounting system ever. Light stopped working completely after 6 months

Not everything syncs. I have an apple tv and it not working for most movies and tv shows. It works well with music

As a product, I'm not sure. I was sold it but when they came to install it I was told it was not compatible, so they took it back.

Miserable experience assembling this around my tv. Gave up and used play bars instead.

The Hue Play system is the realization of pretty much everything I hoped for when I first started to purchase Hue lights years ago. While I quite enjoyed my initial play setup using light bars, the gradient lightstrip really shines as the best way to synchronize lighting to media. It's an incredibly unique effect and can add a special level of immersion, especially when watching video with vibrant colors. I understand why Philips designed this to only wrap around the top and two sides of a TV, but I did opt to add a light bar below the set to provide color around the entire image. That may be unnecessary or even impossible in some setups. I occasionally still have issues with the box that operates the sync needing to be reset or, at its worst, temporarily interrupting the image being delivered to the TV, which can be quite annoying when playing a video game. The lightstrip itself, however, was easy to install and performs exactly as advertised, so it gets full marks from me.

Adds a lot to the television ambience. Love to change the colors on it using the Hue app to match whatever teams are playing sports during the games — the guests love it too! However, be warned: the adhesive backing on the guide things that help you affix this to your TV wear off after a few months and then you're stuck with re-sticking them over and over again. When it falls behind your TV you run the risk of it damaging itself by bending in a way that makes it upset, and then you get flickering lights (if you're not careful). I'd expect the adhesive to work better when you're paying upwards of $250 for addressable RGB lights!
