Q: Can you use the light strip when you’re not watching tv through the hue app?
A: You can, but it will only appear in app as ONE solid color/light. Philips has stated they are looking into future app and firmware updates that will allow us to control the different color zones of the strip independently.
Q: Will this work with a flush mounted TV like the Samsung Frame TV?
A: You need a 1 inch off the wall for it to work.
Q: What is the exact length of the strip? (I am really wanting to try this on a 50".)
A: Height 0.63 inch Length 85.2 inch Width 0.67 inch These specs I got from Philips directly. I hope this helps.

A: Yes absolutely
Q: Is it waterproof? I need it for my outdoor tv.
A: undefined
Q: Would the 55” strip work on a 43” tv? Not sure how much wasted light strip there would be
A: It technically can work but would have a lot of exposed light
A: I think it would. I have a 55 in tv and the 65 in one leaves about 1.5 in on each side. And I don’t have my lights all the way to the edge
A: Works well, especially if you add 2 hue plays on the bottom to help even out how the lighting disperses.
