This is a good, affordable kit that doesn't involve any physical installation (a big plus for me). The only drawback is that it will only sync to your television if you're streaming through your computer. If you're viewing streaming or live content directly on your TV you'll need a different kit from Phillips.

Enjoyed the product so far. However, the mounting options were less than ideal for our television. Could have been user error but the adhesive backing came off and had to get creative with a solution to balance the two lights and keep them out of view.

Very cool concept and when placed behind a tv/monitor it creates a really cool effect. But they should include the HDMI mixer with this instead of charging 3x as much for that as the lights. Loses Homekit connection quickly and easily too.

I use this as bias lights for the back of my tv. The nice thing to do is to set a timer to have them turn on as it gets darker. I’m hoping to integrate this with activating my tv via my harmony remote. Regent cheap but I already have a bunch of hue bulbs.

These are a great addition to any entertainment area. I’ve used these both attached to the side of my TV as well as directly on a TV stand and it works great. Plus if you already have a Philipps hue set up it all comes together nicely.

This product works best when combined with the Philips Hue Sync Box. It makes the movie and general tv watching a better experience. I have also used these same lights in other places around the house to add some accent lighting. Enjoy your purchase!

One of the easiest products in Hues’ lineup to set up. Used the 2 lights in the starter kit to set behind our tv facing the wall. They replaced a Hue led light strip. Even out of these two little lights, much more light and even light dispersion.

I’ve been wanting to join the Hie family for awhile, and I finally did it with this kit. I got this one as I wanted to set up tv lighting with Hue sync. It’s awake me! If you’re using a laptop/PC for the Hue Sync, you’ll have to use Firefox.

These lamps are great work great with my hue sync box. Works great as accent lighting to my entertainment area. I plan to get more for accent lighting around the house recommend. Only downside it took some time to set up due to app not seeing lights how to use serial code on manual to sync lights.

These are good ambient lights for a desktop setup. I hate the wires and the need to plug it in to a huge adapter. Needs a lot of cable management. It won’t be quite comfortable to fit out of the box to your desk and you might have to do some work. Cant get a clean setup.

Unlike their stupid expensive sync box, these units put out a lot of light and can easily hide behind my fixed wall mount. The two produce enough light to give the full affect. No need to do another bar in my opinion.

These are pretty good and light up the area pretty nicely. They need to be slightly brighter, however, to really look nice, because they aren’t as bright as they could be they tend to not “flood” the wall as well as they could.

I bought this for my brother in-law because it was all sold out in his area. He loves it so much and will not stop thanking me, to the point of being annoying. Maybe it is a good thing and I might get surprise with something nice.

Works great out of the box takes some updates depending on the rage if your hue bridge you can change the channel so it sends a better signal to them works, great with razer synapse after some updates to the app

What a great way to elevate your gaming or movie watching experience, I now have 3 of these on TVs in my house and have given them as gifts, everyone loves the vibe

The product is great! the best feature is watching movies and games with the lights mimicking the screen. Red volcano the room turns red! Ice cold water the room color turns blue. It makes immersive into a whole new level.

Love these lights. These were my first Hue lights that I’ve purchased and they are great. Don’t plan on them being your only light source but if you want some accent lights for your TV or office, then these are perfect.

I love these lights. I have a total of 11 Play bars behind my TV and monitors. They are also great accent lighting. Work so much better with the Hue Sync Box. Also extremely nice to have the added Hue Bridge.

Purchased as backlighting for TV, but then put them on my desk to use as lighting for when using webcam. Integrated into SmartThings/Google Home and have them turn on by voice control.

The problem is the cost of the other equipment, specifically the hub that allows this to work with your tv. Great with a computer, assuming that’s where your entertainment is centered. I’m using mine as backlighting till the price of the hub falls to a reasonable level.
