Q: Do I need the Philips Hue HDMI sync box for the lights to adapt to the whats on the screen?
A: Yes, you will need the sync box
Q: Does anyone know the Bridge that comes with this kit is 1st Gen or 2nd Gen? Thanks
A: It comes with the 2nd gen Bridge.
Q: will this work with a Vizio 55” TV ?
A: If you only want to use the lights on your TV then Yes, if you also buy the Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box. That will allow the lights to "see" what's on the tv screen and sync the lights. Otherwise if you hook your PC up to your TV/monitor, install the Hue Sync desktop app, and play a movie/game/music on your PC, then you won't need the HDMI Sync Box as the lights with sync with what is playing on the PC.
Q: Does each light come with its own power cord or is there only one power cord for both lights?
A: Each light has its own cord that plugs into a "brick" (included). Similar to a smartphone wall plug is separate from the cord. Three cords can be plugged into one "brick". The cords do not detach from the light itself. The cord has a barrel shaped plug.
Q: How long is the plug-in cable? And can this product plug USB directly into the TV, or outlet only?
A: I think the plug is 6ft long. Cannot be used on TV usb. Phillips includes a 3 slot plug in with the lights. The lights are connected to the plug in then that is plugged into your electrical outlet
A: You need the Hue HDMI receiver for it to work on a standard tv.
Q: If I already have the bridge for my lights, do I need this kit? Or can I just buy the light bars?
A: If you have an existing bridge then you can connect to the same. I recollect you can connect 50 smart lights.
Q: Do I need to hook up to router with wire?
A: Yes, the hub needs to be hooked up with a wire to you router but the lights themselves don't
