Cool Lights
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have to buy an HDMI Sync box still...$$$$ Not included, Must have HDMI Sync box if want your cool tv to interact with movies. Watching a jungle scene... led lights will sync green in back of tv. Fire scenes... lights turn red, y get the picture. Playing Xbox/ PS, lights sync the same as movies. Music is different, have to download and app to switch between movie/ game or music. Very easy to setup. If don’t buy HDMI sync box, you can just have lights setup to many colors which is nice but won’t change colors for any movie/ games or music which is the only reason I bought it! Wish sold a complete setup!

Entertainment like no other
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first I was skeptical that the lighting would bother while watching tv or playing a game. I paired these up with a sync box and I was blown away. It makes what ever you’re watching much more immersive. The best way I can describe it would be upgrading from your tv speakers to a good solid sound bar. As far as the pricing goes I believe they are pretty pricy, but at the end of the day I believe it’s worth it.

Awesome lights!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Phillips- Hue Play Starter Kit are my first set of Hue lights and I must admit, they are amazing! I purchased these for my gaming setup and were super easy to connect. After downloading the app, follow the prompts and you're all set! It integrates extremely well the Elgato StremDeck as that's what I use to control powering it off/on and changing its' color. These lights offers the option to create "scenes" in which you are able to customize light patterns and colors- I have yet to do so personally but will upload an update soon! Pros: Easy to setup, integrates well with other apps and software, customization options Cons: none at the moment

Alternative to the Hue Light Strip
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been buying Hue Light Strips to put accent lighting in areas of my home that could use it. I hated the idea of buying the light strip and cutting them down to length. I know these Hue Plays are kind of marketed as entertainment accents to be used behind a TV or PC monitor, but I found excellent uses in shelves and under a sound bar. The build quality is pretty good; it's not metal or anything, but keeping the weight down is good too so that it can be mounted facing down using the provided double-sided tape. They come with stands if you want to stand them up facing a wall. Note that the power supply to these lights can only power up to three at a time. The kit comes with two lights, but you'll only be able to add one more light. If you need more than 3 lights, say, for a 4-tier shelf, then you'll have to buy another single or double light kit that comes with the power supply. The do sell these as light add-ons as well (no power supply). I'm very happy with the amount of light each Play produces. I can have them on solely and it will illuminate a room pretty well. If you want accent lighting in small spaces and don't want to cut light strips, these are the way to go.

Perfect for Desk Setup
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have never purchased these kinds of lights before these. I have to say, they are amazing. They work seamlessly with my google hub and the mounts it comes with were perfect to stick on the back of my gaming monitor. I can't see them from about a 45 degree angle on the side of the monitor since I placed them real close to the center of the monitor. They are very bright. They honestly bring my desk to life. For 100 bucks I still think it is expensive for lights but if you are willing to pay 100 bucks for VERY GOOD lights then these are it. The only place I use them is on my desk but I am sure you can stick these in so many other places.

Great way to start your hue lighting collection
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve already had hue lights in my home for years but I think it’s truly great that they made this package Combo it’s an awesome way to get started if your going to continue to add more lights little by little like I did and if you just want to only keep these two then regardless they are great for setting the right mood at the right time

Beautiful
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These lights are great. I used the option where you stick them to the back of the TV with 3M stickies that they give you in the package. I have not had any issues with them so far. My only complaint with this product is how big the power block is which takes up a lot of outlet space by the tv. Other than that the lights are very vibrant and the app is extremely simple to set up and use.

Q: Questionwill this work with a Vizio 55” TV ?
Asked by 2quick4u.
- A:Answer If you only want to use the lights on your TV then Yes, if you also buy the Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box. That will allow the lights to "see" what's on the tv screen and sync the lights. Otherwise if you hook your PC up to your TV/monitor, install the Hue Sync desktop app, and play a movie/game/music on your PC, then you won't need the HDMI Sync Box as the lights with sync with what is playing on the PC.

Q: QuestionDoes each light come with its own power cord or is there only one power cord for both lights?
Asked by Cha.
- A:Answer Each light has its own cord that plugs into a "brick" (included). Similar to a smartphone wall plug is separate from the cord. Three cords can be plugged into one "brick". The cords do not detach from the light itself. The cord has a barrel shaped plug.

Q: QuestionHow long is the plug-in cable? And can this product plug USB directly into the TV, or outlet only?
Asked by Stratton.
- A:Answer I think the plug is 6ft long. Cannot be used on TV usb. Phillips includes a 3 slot plug in with the lights. The lights are connected to the plug in then that is plugged into your electrical outlet
