Yes, you will need the sync box
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. For your TV, yes you do. For PC you do not.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends how you are going to use them. I have the lights behind my PC monitor and I am using the PC app to interface with the Phillips lights. Only the sound from the PC program (I-tunes, PC Games, YouTube, or other PC program that generates sound) will make the lights adjust or go with the beat / tempo of the sound / music. I have a two channel stereo in the same room (man cave) and when I listen to music the lights remain on but do not dim or adjust to the tempo of the music. It is my understanding the Philips HDMI Sync box will need to be used. I also believe if you use these lights when for home theater when a PC is not being you will need the Philips Hue Sync box for the lights to interact with home theater system.
