The Hue Play kit is great if it pairs with a computer. There are 4 sync mode, scene, game, music and video for different usage. The biggest downside is if use the kit with a TV, then it requires to buy a hub device to sync with TV, and the hub device is another 300 bucks.

This is a good starter kit for ambient lighting. The hub can be used with all other hue lights. So if you ste new to hue this just adds the hub you need to control them. I would recommend only for use in a dark room. These will not be too viable in a lit room.

I use this on my windows PC, for movies and games, it adds a really neat effect! Turned up too much, it can be a bit distracting, but if set to smooth and a moderate light level, it really helps immersion.

I have these running Hue Sync via my PC with one of philips hue rope lights. I love the sync feature with the app, but the app needs a lot of work. It actually uses up quite a bit of resource power on the pc. Would give 5 stars if the price was a little lower.

All you need to get started, including the hue HUB. It DOES NOT include the HUE SYNC device, which you need to match the lights to your content (via HDMI). However, you can still manually set each light's color, and link to a HUE Switch/ Scene to set the mood.

Excellent addition to my smart home! I didn't expect the enhanced volume of light these add to the back of my tv! Sets the mood perfectly for a night of Netflix, or watching the game with your friends!

I put these on the back of TV and use Hue stream app with Shield TV to auto sync light. It is not perfect but works well when using Kodi or VLC. However it doesn't work when watch streaming service like Netflix or Amazon Prime. Overall like them a lot.

Great product when combined with the hdmi sync box. The sync box is $230. So its not cheap but with an OLED tv it really looks amazing. It makes for a very immersive experience.

They work and look great. I find them annoying but other in the house love them so to each their own. Setting up was annoying. Hue won't find automatically, I have to find the serial number on the piece of paper I had already thrown out!

The Hue starter kit is a great add on to your tv or computer. It’s super reactive and really helps set the mood. I bought this as a Christmas present for my tech loving husband and he loves it!

This adds the benefit of ambient lighting for normal tv watching at night and excellent entertainment when synced watching action movies. Explosions light up the room.

I had this running on my PC using Philips Hue sync app as well as on my TV. It looks real neat at night to have the background bias lighting reflect whatever is displayed on the TV

I have Philips Hue system setup at home and I thought that this would be a nice additional to the TV... But you have to buy another part (not cheap) to make it Sync to the TV sounds. I am a bit disappointed but I still like the lights.

The depth of adding light to your television is experience is very enjoyable. My eyes are not strained watching the television and I feel as if there is even more depth now to my OLED screen.

Easy to setup and use. The hub is a little finicky but overall pretty easy to setup. Wish it came with more double sided tape so you can reapply it later to other areas/monitors

These are really cool and although we already had a hub, we actually needed a second one since we have to many Hue devices. This complements the Hue Sync device very well.

Great lights to add behind a computer monitor. Lots of fun using different colors and helps relieve some eye strain in a dark room with just the computer and accent lights.

Set it up in my kids play area and they love playing their games even better! Now to look for deal on the HDMI box that allows me to have the lights change according to what’s on the TV!

I like the Phillips Hue system a lot, I have a decent amount of their bulbs and lamps hooked up. This kit worked as expected, no problem there, but the colors don’t match the rest of the bulbs, they’re off.

Great lights to use everyday around the home. Light have no problem connecting to hue infrastructure and are nice. Might be slightly dim though.
