Works great! Nice, bright lighting option for a TV backlight. No issues connecting with and controlling through Alexa. Planning on adding an extension light bar and eventually using a Hue Sync to really change things up in the game/media room.

Great lights, huge array of colors and I like the ability to set a routine for every night. Get brighter upon getting home, then dull as the night progresses. Just wish you didnt need the sync box to have the colors mirror the TV/monitor. Hopefully philips will resolve this or make the sync box more affordable.

Very happy with this purchase. My TV had long sat in a dark recessed wall in my living so adding this really amplified the appearance of a more spacious living area. You won't go wrong here if your TV is an are that hides ambient light.

I originally thought Hue color lights were a joke..... until i purchased this setup to light up my desk area.... i love it! My favorite part is when i am watching movies or playing games. This is now a must have for me in any gaming or video setup.

I love these hue lights because you can see the quality of the light output and construction. They are bright!. Get these when they are on sale. They are also very reliable and never will you see them not work like other bulbs. Highly recommend.

I bought these with low expectations but have installed two sets in my gaming room. I am impressed with the way these work with my FPS gaming sessions. The software also works pretty well for adjustments. Setup was easy as well.

I have several Hue bulbs already so this is just an extension. The colors can be a little bright against a white wall. I got used to it, but it took a bit. I love to sync it with all my games. I would buy them again for sure.

Im a fan of the Phillips Hue ecosystem, but this is Hue Play kit is kind of garbo for the asking price. Ultimately is just another set of lights in diffusers. The app required for Hue to read your screen color and output them to the play modules is meh. Each unit only give you one addressable light. The ability to address the multiple LEDs for more robust effect would have been nice. I do like the provide different hardware for mounting pointing the lights, but realistically you are better off just getting bulbs and putting them where would install these nights. And, two bulbs is a lot cheaper than $130.

The kit was easy to set up and install, and the lights produce a pretty robust range of colors. I liked the different mounting options available and the plug which can accommodate 3 lights at once. I wish the accompanying app was more user-friendly in the features offered though.

I got these and another extra light bar to place behind my 34 inch ultrawide monitor. The colorshift is pretty responsive and I enjoy the the ability to set different preset color schemes using the Philips Hue app.

These lights are perfect for behind monitors I personally have a 6 monitor setup and have 3 behind them and it add such a cool effect to my setup. I will say they are a little pricey but being able to use my phone to control them, make them worth it.

Great bundle that came with the bridge thankfully. Wouldn't have purchased this if it didn't come with the bridge...by itself it's an extra 50$+. Easy setup and we love the colors. Bought the sync box shortly after to utilize the syncing during movies and gaming!

I used these lights above my kitchen cabinets. They were extremely easy to set up and program within the Hue App. Also, great deal at Best Buy over the holidays. Purchased three sets. Perfect Christmas gift!

I know these lights are suppose to be used for the television but they are great morning lights in the bedroom. We use the Hue Play lights as our wake up lights. We usually wake up around 6:30 in the morning and we set the hue lights to gradually start brightening around 6:15 am. We have had the Hue Play lights over 4 month and no longer need a noise alarm to wake us up. They are a great size to mount on our head board. They reflect the light wonderfully to simulate a sunrise. We have even use the hue lab app to have them simulate candle light in our bedroom. Our only complaint is we wish the would get a little brighter. It would be nice to just turn them on at night instead of the overhead lights.

Bought these as an addition to my current Hue system and love them. Super easy to add to the hub and control via the app is simple. Would love to add the HDMI Sync box but feel it is too expensive right now.

Works pretty good. Makes the ambient light interesting. Works by itself with the PC App to sync it. Unfortunately for the TV, needs a HDMI hub that is expensive or you have to try to stream it from the PC.

The starter kit includes everything you need to get up and running. I use these in my gaming PC setup to add some amazing bias lighting around my monitor. Easy to set up and tons of colors to choose from.

These lights are seriously the coolest purchase I have ever made. Paired with the Philips Hue Sync box makes the experience even better! If you are a fan of cool lighting than this is a must buy!

This is a great product at great value (this include hue bridge which value of $59.99) , The synch was not great when used laptop but, great when you use synch box which is costly. But, if you need a constant backlight rather the strips then, its nice to have.
