This module was not compatible with my current bridge for my smart home so I returned it.

I ended up returning the switch. I wasn’t a fan of it and it didn’t work as well as I expected.

I was disappointed. Maybe if it used batteries it would actually work?

It can take multiple button presses to trigger a scene.

I purchased a Hue TAP and then could not link it. I returned it and got another. It would not connect either. The hue dimmer switch is the better option and allows you to pick 5 scenes as well.

Bought 2 separate ones and no matter what I tried I couldn’t get it to connect to my hue system. Every other hue accessory I have connects fine

It died after a couple of weeks. This controller is not ready for primetime. The bulbs are great and we use them ... this switch just stopped working. Will take it back to bestbuy.

I have many, if not all Hue family products. This for some reason doesnt keep my lights on and turns them off after about 5-10 minutes after using tap to turn on.

This is a horrible product. Set up was cumbersome but acceptable. The hardware of this product was less than stellar. But it simply does not work. It is a horrible product.

Purchased this along with the Hue starter kit and returned the Tap within a week! The whole battery less idea is an absolute fail. Worked properly only once or twice!

Had this all configured and working, then today it stopped working. Returning because this isn’t work $50 at all.

This product I s poorly constructed. It broke after two days of use.

Really great product. Saves me the hassle from having always having to turn off the lights through my phone. It has an adhesive on the back and there's not batteries or wires needed to use this product.

I have three of the taps with my lighting system. Having multiple people in the home, the tap makes it much easier to control and turn on and off the lights. It is limited with only 4 buttons, but it does what it's suppose to do. They have been adding more features to each button. For example, if you hit a button once, it will turn on the lights you have programed. If you hit the same button twice, you can set it to dim 50% or even to turn off the lights programmed to that button.

The tap allows for a physical button, 4 to be exact! Controlling hue from the phone is great but there are times when a physical button is easier. This gives you 4 settings. Ie off and 3 scenes. I use the one in the LR to control the lights in the bedroom so they are on before i even get there. So many options!!

In December 2014, I purchased the Philips Hue Starter Kit, additional BR30 lamps and the Hue Tap. It's easy to set up, easy to add additional components, easy to use and easy to automate. Overall, it is a great series of products.

The setup with my Hue bridge was very easy. The Tap works well as a bedside switch (wanted a solution that enabled me to activate a specific scene without having to cycle through multiple scenes like with the Hue wireless dimmer switch) and is small enough that mounting it on the wall would not be aesthetically displeasing. However, the physical functionality of the device requires that the buttons be pressed in exactly the right way for it to register. The entire Tap is a large button that depresses (associated with Function 1). The 3 individual buttons (Functions 2-4) also depress the entire Tap, but should trigger separate actions. I've found that if the small buttons are not pushed exactly in the center, they will register as Function 1. Not a dealbreaker for me at all, but I can easily see how it could annoy others.

On of my biggest issues with hue is when the power is shutoff to the lights they lose their memory. With the Tap it is a way of getting around this. Setting up of several defaults will allow you to sett the lighting up even when all power is dropped. It is very expensive for what it is, but cutting the reliance to a phone or pc is handy. Also there are apps out there that allow you to get even more setup functionality with the Tap
