Philips hue tap 452524 Switch: Take your smart lighting controls to the next level by accessing up to four light scenes with the push of a button. Great as a backup when your smartphone is charging or in use, the hue tap provides wireless, touch-powered control from room to room.
Q: MY HUE SWITCH STOPPED WORKING AFTER A SERIES OF POWER OUTAGES. HOW DO I RESYNC IT OR IS IT BROKEN?
A: 1- In your mobile device, open Philips Hue app. 2- Tap on Settings 3- Tap on Accessories Setup 4- Click on your remote's name and then click on delete. 5- Make sure you're connected to internet and your bridge is connected to your internet router and lights are on. 6- Tap on + sign in the lower right section of the app. 7- Follow instructions to install your remote. 8- If app is unable to find your remote, then press buttons of your remote all the way down several times to recharge built in battery. 9- Go to step 6.
A: Yes, I do not have a dimmer, but the tap works just like your phone. Just assign a pre-set light setup to each button and it will activate the scene an over lap whatever your dimmer is doing. I recommend the hue dynamic pro app which will let you assign multiple rooms to each tap button. My bedroom, living room, and bathroom each have their own tap and they are super convenient if you have several bulbs in your home.
A: First you have to install Hue bulbs in each of your 3 fixtures. Once the bulbs are installed you can control them individually with this switch or with the HUE app that you download on your phone. You will have to have the HUE bridge to connect all your Hue equipment to your WiFi but once you do it gives you complete control everywhere you install Hue bulbs.
A: The Tap twists counter clockwise off of the mount
A: Nope. I bought cheap light switch covers so guest will not use them.
Q: How many hue lights will the tap switch control
A: It has a recommended maximum of three rooms. So the maximum is the bridge maximum of 50 if all 50 are included within those three rooms.
A: There is no battery. It's powered by kinetic energy. Keep pressing the buttons over and over and then I would remove the accessory from the Hue app and reinstall.
