Programmable to different light settings
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is programmable so you can set up your Hue lights to different colors and settings, depending on your mood for the moment in just one click. Doesn't need batteries and easily sticks on the walls and matches the other switches.

Must have accessory!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A must have accessory for your hue or lux bulbs. If you're like me and are pretty much the geek of the house, you know how annoying it can be when you are on the couch and go to turn on a lamp with your phone or tablet only to realize that someone else has turned it off with the lamp switch. The hue tap solves this problem by giving everyone else in the house a way to use the lamps without undermining the convenience and usability of your smart bulbs.

It's adequate
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For a controller that doesn't require batteries, it works pretty well. My biggest complaint and the reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that you can't program the buttons to do "last state" for 4 rooms or individual lights (or any combination of such). It would be perfect if you could set each button to toggle the lights in 4 different rooms on and off. Alas, Philips doesn't have that as an option as of this review. It's possible that Philips could push out an update to add this as an option, but I'm not going to hold my breath. So I have one button set to turn off 3 rooms, and the 3 other buttons to turn on the rooms. I do have a 4th "room" but that's my stairs and I actually prefer to leave those lights on all the time. That's why I said this is adequate, although not ideal.

Effective but pricey
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Hue Tap is easy to install and set up. It provides very useful and convenient functions for the Hue lights. It doesn't use batteries so that's a plus. In my experience it has worked flawlessly to turn on scenes and turn off the lights. The only thing I don't like about it is the price. I feel this product should be about $30. Otherwise, it's a great product in my opinion.

Can only get 1 button to work
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The idea of this switch is awesome. Not batteries and 4 scene options can be preloaded. All I really wanted was something that would switch on and off the lights without the need of a phone or tablet... This sounded like the ideal product, sadly however, it didn't live up to my expectations. I have tried several times to get the other buttons to work, and failed everytime.

Much Needed add on
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The remote switch is a nice add on for Hue if you have the lights in your bedroom. this way you do not have to remember to carry your phone with you. For the other rooms it really isn't needed. well built.

Very Impressed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you have Hue Bulbs you really need the tap. We have Hue LUX over the kitchen island and placed a Tap on the island so that we don't have to walk across the kitchen to turn on or off the island lights. It works every time just as fast as a light switch, and much faster than launching the app on the phone/tablet

Works great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's cool that it doesn't use batteries, but instead power generated when pushing the buttons. It's nice that you can program different "themes" for the various buttons.

Nice to have, doesn't always work
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to place next to my front door in case I came home prior to a scene starting. It's nice to have but doesn't always work. Sometimes I have to tap a button four or five times before the lights will turn on. It's almost like it is having to charge up to send a signal the 25 feet to my Hub. I would probably return it at this point if I still could.

Not as good as I'd hoped
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased mine in my local store. I was very excited to get it home and set it up. But sadly, after a while this stopped working. I have read other people's reviews on other websites, and a number of other have had the same issues as I've had with this device. The My Tap broke on my after about 2 and a half weeks of use. It worked one minute and then the next it was broken. I've taken it back to the store for an in store credit. The device is really new technology, so it's prone to issues. I'll wait for the next gen to come out. Hopefully it won't be so buggy. However, I DO LOVE my HUE LIGHTS!! LOVE EM! And I'll just continue to use my phone to change them.

Bought and returned within 2 days! Horrible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my new Hue Flood lights and figured I would add on a sort of physical switch of some sort and read the reviews and this seemed like a good option. There is not much to this device and it is quite small and you can opt to mount it to the wall or table. Hooking this up was pretty cumbersome since you have to hold down a button to get it to sync and be recognized by the app. It took several tries and the buttons are not labeled and you have to push hard to get the button to register. The device feels cheap and clicking the buttons after a bit was annoying. I did get it connected after 10 tries but in the end I returned this since it does not really help at all to use the lights. It is annoying and pretty much a surprising joke product to me.
