I love the color options for this bulb. It gives a good amount of illumination and can create some pretty neat ambiance when it's the only light in the room.

It works as easily as all of the other Hue products. I can’t tell how hot it gets since it is in a recessed canister high up. Set up & programming was easy

Just love the Philips Hue lighting. This bulb was added to our existing hue hub. Works very well with Echo or google home.

Got this for a kitchen spotlight that has a switch in a bad spot. It is excellent. Great Alexa integration. The color choices are really nice to have.

This bulb gets the job done and having the options for colors syncing with the rest of the house lights has made this a great addition to the house.

I have converted all interior bulbs with the exception of a couple chandeliers over to hue bulbs! I realize a lot of people want bulbs that do not require a hub, however each bulb communicates with each other, so can cover an extremely large house with no issues and without eating up routers bandwidth, like many other bulbs that do not require a hub. I have the BR30's for my recessed as well as A19's, E12's and the strips. All blend together seamlessly. FYI, you do need additional hub after like 50 bulbs. Awesome for full smart home integration!

We have replaced most of the bulbs in our house with Hue bulbs. We love that they work with our Google Home and with Alexa. They are really great bulbs!

This is the same as the normal Hue bulbs, but it is more useful for situations where a light is directly above whatever you're needing it for.

Bought two of these. The only issue is they do not show the same color when using the scenes that are preselected.

Enjoying setting up different color schemes for different occasions. It makes it a lot of fun with all the different colors.

I recommend getting the colored ones like these rather than just the plain. You might not use the colored a lot, but its cool to have on occasions.

Looking for a solution for leaving lights on while on vacation. Simple to setup. Could monitor and set from the phone app. Worked great.

I purchased the previous gen BR-30 bulbs from Phillips Hue and was relatively pleased with them. The problem is when they sucked at color. With compared to my 3rd gen Light Strip, they cannot achieve the same colors. These new ones add parity between the bulbs/lights. Richer greens and yellows can be expected with this one over the previous BR-30s. For $5 more than the outgoing model, I highly recommend you spring for these. Just do it. You won't be disappointed.

This guy in our kitchen is intense. It is so bright WE HAD TO DIM THEM. The brightest settings is insane but make sure its used for big areas.
