Meh amp not worth it

I was running component speakers with it and the sound kept clipping a lot. Adjusting the gain did absolutely nothing. I purchased a jbl studio amp and no longer had the clipping issue. Maybe I just had a bad amp but I've had a bad history with pioneer so I opted for something else.

Junk amp and exchange program.

Volume goes up and down as the amp struggles to handle the workload. Upon trying to exchange it for something else I can't because it's been longer than 15 days. I'm still within 30 days but that doesn't matter. Now I'm stuck with an amp that doesn't handle what it says it does and no way to get something different through Best Buy. Suuuuuuper!

They put out more than advertised. Powers all door / dash speakers with easy. Can also be wired for a sub woofer. Nice that it can play 4, 2 and even 1 ohm.

It is definitely worth the price for the sound quality alone. Highly recommend to anyone. I also bought a nice pioneer head unit. I'm glad i decided on both items. My Dodge truck had all factory junk in it. The upgrades I made centers around this powerful little amplifier.

A little hum.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had the amp installed at Bestbuy at J.C . TN. When volume is down system has a hum that is irritating. Took it back to Bestbuy installers and they said it's normal for an amp. To do that. Had to pay to have professional re install. No longer has a hum.

An amplifier should not have a humming noise. When it does, in most cases it is caused by a poor ground at the amplifier or even the head unit.
