Waited 2 weeks for installation. Jose the installer helped with purchase and everything else I needed. He was nice and seemed very knowledgeable. So I decided to have it installed there. I dropped my car off at 10am, he assured me it would be ready by 2 or 3 if not earlier! At 4:30 I decided to call to see how it was going. He said it was not going to be ready until closing. Asked what time was that he said 8:00. Wife came home so I decided to drive down to see what was going on. As I pulled in Jose was pulling out the same old truck that was there when I dropped off mine. Looked at my car still sitting backed in to where I parked it. I walked in the store and asked for the store manager. Went back in the shop and manager Perry showed up. I asked Jose what was going on you haven’t even worked on my car yet! Jose lied and said he called me.(Which I called him!) Also said can’t you see I had trouble with the truck it leaked transmission fluid all over the floor I couldn’t move it. You wouldn’t want me to do that to yours if there was a leak. (It was radiator fluid thinking I’m stupid or something!) Then why did you just pull it out! You have another bay why didn’t you just pull it in there and work on it? What did you do all day? Looks like nothing! While so called Manager Perry stood there and said nothing! No sorry nothing! I got my money back and manager Perry said, have a great day with a grin on his face! I will never purchase another product from any Best Buy ever! Worst customer service and management I’ve ever encountered! I’ll take my business elsewhere! Nothing against pioneer they make a great product!

They will provide troubleshooting assistance. It is not normal for the amplifier to get excessively hot. There could be a miss-match of speakers.

Ordered and got it home. Didnt install it right away as i was in the process of ordering and receiving everything I needed for good sound system. After a month or two i got it installed and on the right side gain control, every time i touch the gain a loud bang sounds through my speaker only the right side. Driving down the road and it gets loud when i dont hit the gas but as soon as i do it gets quite. No one would help me from best buy because i was outside the return date. I replaced with skar 400 4 channel and my speakers scream. Best but failed me big time wasted 279 on a box that does nothing , in other words the company doesn't make enough money so they have to screw the little guy over to get rich.

I was running component speakers with it and the sound kept clipping a lot. Adjusting the gain did absolutely nothing. I purchased a jbl studio amp and no longer had the clipping issue. Maybe I just had a bad amp but I've had a bad history with pioneer so I opted for something else.
