I put this in my 2001 truck where i wanted a Bluetooth connection. I have fosgate speakers and mtx subwoofer. The sound is so clean and powerful. Good EQ controls. I had a previous older premium model pioneer DEH P7800MP which looks just like this model i just installed. The DEH P7800MP has way more sound controls and dynamics, truly the best I’ve ever heard. It also has a color screen with low resolution. So i was disappointed this new unit had no color screen, same low resolution display. But having BT micro sd and two usb connections makes up for it.

I went with this deck after a ton of research. I wanted a stereo for stereo purposes... meaning I did not care for dvd/ xm/ navigation/ or backup camera. What I did want was a deck to power my speakers that I already had (after market components/ speakers/ amp and sub). This unit allows you to calibrate the speakers via a microphone that you hang over your drivers seat headrest. The speakers put out a range of sounds and the head unit automatically adjusts the equalizer band for you. I wanted a bit more luodness and bass and manually tweaked it to my liking but the aoutsetup worked really well. The face is clean and simple but a bit old school looking. I love that I could put all my music on a 32gb SD card and it plays thru a slot behind the face. No need for an ipod or usb stick hanging off the face. II've owned sony and pioneer decks in the past 10 years and this one sounds the best. The next level up from this will be a close to $1000 and is for competitions. The sound this thing puts out for the price can't be beat. If you are advanced enough this unit allows you to run an " active " system.. google it. It also has an internal amp. If you want good sound get tjis... if you want " bling" featurrs get something else.

From my Hollers of WV to Crenshaw Boulevard in LA... THERE IS ZERO FAT in this head unit. It is the Armand de Brignac Brut of car head units.. STOP looking any further you arrived. Breakout the plastic and don’t be concerned with ever later saying “I wish I would of”..! BTW if your in the WV-25401 area, ask for Dr David at the Martinsburg B.B., he did my Red C5 Stingray... Emoji - MIKE DROP!

This head unit is great. Keep in mind that you will need a better sound source to achieve the great sound quality that this unit is capable of. The controls are fairly easy to adapt to if you have used a pioneer HU before. Puts out enough power from the internal amp for enough loud without overpowering.

It looks great! You wouldn't know that it wasn't originally built in. Amazing being able to have bluetooth and a screen in an older vehicle.

The head unit has great sound and is quite capable. My only complaints revolve around the interface and bluetooth. My car has a door covering the head unit compartment, and the volume control is so deep that the door won't open/close without pushing the button. But, the real issue with that nob is that it is a bit unresponsive when changing the volume quickly. But the real failure is the bluetooth implementation. I use Windows Phone, and the phone book does sync with my phone's phone book, but navigating to a name is near impossible while driving and there is absolutely no voice control. I want the car audio to integrate with Cortana and allow it to read me texts, play voicemail, and dial/answer calls with voice commands which are available in my phone.

See the review above. You have what is called the sweet spot of the whole song centered At your nose. The vocals are pristine. The bass is equaled between all the speakers and subwoofer the iPod is the best sound because it is uncompressed music. The CD is compressed music. think of it as a blue ray sound vs a DVD sound.

Great single din for the simple or the advanced

Sorry my English is not all that great so bare with me. I have own this what is now two weeks. I have previous experience on the Audio business but only live audio to be sincere. So I wish I could get in-depth on my preview for you guys but lets keep it simple. This is a simple, one dim cd player for those that like simple but underneath its simple skin there is enough features to make any audiophile happy to the ends of earth. You got even an auto EQ there for those that don't like to do themselves or are unable to. I installed this with a set of JBL P660C on the front, JBL P908 as back fill and a JBL MS-BassPro SQ powered sub in the trunk. Once installed I formatted a 64gb MicroSD (must be formatted as FAT32 in this size to work from my experience) and jammed as much music as it would take. Got in the car and it took maybe 15 seconds to read the card and start playing. I do not need to go out and buy an Ipod or anything else I just leave that SD card in there and every time I have to drive music, tons of music are there waiting for me. The Bluetooth is great when it comes to playing music but I haven't had much of a good experience when talking on the phone through the speakers on the car. Might need some working but haven't got to it yet. The face place is removable for those situations where you think someone might try to steal your player, and it has enough inputs to make anyone happy. I highly recommend it if you are on the market for a single din and want something that is simple yet has the potential of being everything you could want it to be.

love pioneer radios but they arent the best quality products and honestly the sound is good and options are good but to give this 5 stars is insane 5 stars in my opinion means hands down elite best of best and this is far from that this is just better than your average cheap radios in store thats all. more options with decent components instead of junk components.
