It's a great Pioneer, I had now issues for the install in my 01 tahoe. Bestbuy didnt want to install but it was not a big deal just a stereo cage switch. Plays the dvd's, connects to iphone, Bluetooth was easy also. I have only one problem, I cant hear or listen when the call is connected? I can answer the phone calls & dial out but when they answer I cant hear them. I have to switch to my phone speaker to hear anyone.

is a ncie product and everything worked great but 3 months after i got it installed it has had Harddrive error, and reboots on its own and freezes needing to send in for repair. I was told this is a common prob in some pioneer units, but overall it is a good device

This product looked the best out of all the in-store car stereos, but i am quite displeased with its true colors. I listed 3 major drawbacks for me, though there are several small facets that turn me off from this product. 1) Bluetooth connectivity is mediocre. I have "BT Auto Connect" turned on, but the unit does not connect with my device automatically. It says that it was unable to make the automatic connection (paraphrasing, i can't recall the exact message) even though my phone's BT had been on the whole time. I tried enlisting my stereo as a Trusted Device, to no avail. Yes, it will eventually connect, but this Auto Connect feature does not work...at least for me. 2) Compatibility issues. The Pioneer seems to be suited only for Apple products. When connected via BT, the album artwork does not show up as advertised it would. Half the time my music info won't show up either. When i tested it after the install, my Best Buy install guy told me "yeah, for some devices it won't show the artwork." I can't use MirrorLink, OneAppRadio or any other connection methods to resolve this issue. And the USB (MTP) connection failed both times i tried it, so that's that. 3) Remote is fairly useless. I am able to control the volume of my music and skip tracks, but navigating my music files or the stereo settings (or anything else) you are left having to touch the display. Not to be high-maintenance, but i expected a remote to give me more capabilities than this. Also, you have to have the remote pointed at the stereo for it to work, so you can't merely hit the buttons with it in the cup holder as i tried doing. Most of the buttons are used for the DVD player portion. Now, i am not going to sit in my running car with the parking brake on (required for functionality) for 1.5 hours just so i can watch a movie. Having a DVD player that can't be played while the car is moving is pointless to me since my passengers are the ones who would be watching it. This is NOT worth the money. I basically got a half-behind BT receiver with a touch screen. It looks nice, but i wasted a lot of money just to get my music to play in my car.

Purchased my avh-x2700bs from best buy in rockaway nj and it crapped out in less than 3 months. It would start up, then shut down, start up, then shut down. I ungraded the firmware and eventually it stopped all together. Additionally, there's an annoying, ear-piercing chirp everytime a button or the screen is pressed. I went to best buy but they wouldn't do anything to support me as a customer. They said because it was after 15 days that I needed to have it uninstalled and sent back to pioneer. Seriously!!!!!!??? $350 for the unit, $150 install and all they offered was to take the unit out. Nothing else. I've purchased many products from them but no more. There has to be a better product on the market and a better store to purchase it from. Be sure to read other reviews out there before buying this product. They will support my experience.

    STAY AWAY, LEMON

Lemon, bad circuit board died at 6 months. Newest reviews on other sites show a pattern of this issue. Pioneer support will not admit they have a problem with this model and others with the same issue.
