    I regret this purchase almost every time I drive my car. I got this radio on sale but I don't think it was worth the sale price. The screen is barely bigger than my Pixel 6a screen, and it is not adjustable, so I can only see it when I don't have sunglasses on. I didn't realize that the clock was going to be very small and difficult to see while driving. I had not been informed before I ordered this that I would have to pay $100 extra if I wanted the volume control to be on the steering wheel (so I didn't get that additional purchase). So the only volume controls are a very small + and - that are not really safe to adjust while driving. The sound quality is no better than the radio that came with my 13 year old car. The rear view camera that was also installed is another set of problems, but I'll try to review that separately. (I don't know if the adjustments for that are a problem with this unit or that one.). Besides all of that, the installers estimated 2 hours and it took almost 4, and then they didn't close the underdash completely, so it fell into my lap as I was driving home. Needless to say, if I could go back I would not have made this purchase.

      I am sorry to hear you are not happy with the DMH-1770NEX.
      The screen size should have been made clear before you had it installed. The local stores usually have them on display for you to see.

      To retain steering wheel controls does require an adapter kit, these can range greatly in price and are different for most vehicles. These cannot be included with the stereos.

      The NHTS have set rules that we have to follow. We cannot have the parking assist lines show when the camera image first appears. The driver needs to see the full area, to ensure nothing is behind the vehicle. Then the driver can enable the parking assist lines, should they be needed.

      Please return to the installer, so they can properly close the dash for you. PUSATechAnswers

    For the price this is excellent. It lacks wireless CarPlay but I honestly prefer the plug in.

    I like it. Nice sounds. I love the mic on the stereo. You can "text" with your voice. Nice EQ setting. What I don't like about it is you have to plug in your phone every time. It is Sirius XM ready, but if you have to listen to the music, you have to play it thru your phone. You I recommend this product, no I would not.

      For Wireless Android Auto or Wireless Apple CarPlay, you might consider the DMH-W3000NEX.
      The DMH-1770NEX is SiriusXM Ready. If you purchase their SXV300 tuner, you can select SiriusXM as a source, without connecting your phone. PUSATechAnswers

    Lifetime Pioneer Customer No More

    Lifetime Pioneer customer since the 1980’s but no more. This is the third unit I’ve had in my truck in about 6 years. The first two had HD tuners that stopped working so the radio just kept cutting in and out every 3 seconds. I finally bought this unit THREE MONTHS AGO and now it’s stuck in a “reboot” loop. I checked for a firmware update and there isn’t one available on Pioneer’s site. About to go pull the fuse and see if that works; otherwise, it’ll be another paperweight in my garage.

    Love it...however i do not like you have to use a USB plug to get the Android or Apple play to work. For the price everything should be Bluetooth. It comes with a remote.

    Garbage after 1 year amd warranty just ran out

    Worked as it shoud and just after the year warranty it started doing all kinds of stupid stuff. Will lock on a screen amd freeze. Sometimes just gives a white screen with thin vertical color lines. When this happens at night the radio will blind you. It actually works very lttle now. So frustrating. Will never buy a pioneer again. Used to be my favorite. Now just junk. I see other people having same issue after several months

    Bad unit under warranty no solution

    Bought this unit around Christmas in 2021 . I installed it for him mid January. I was going to return after install as the sound would distort more then factory that it replaced. However best buy changed return policy from 30 days to 15 days so I was stuck with the unit. I researched at the time and almost all good reviews so thought maybe speakers was the issue. Since then the stereo started randomly rebooting every week or so. I just thought it was a quirk. I recently went out and spent over $500 in new speakers and amp. Sounds better at times as the distortion just got enhanced with the new speakers and amp. I have 2 other cars with Pioneer stereos they sound great but not this one. The one thing that stands out is when selecting Loudness low med or high the sound quality is really bad unlike when using the loudness on my other Pioneer units. I noticed others have same issue. I would avoid this unit and select one of the many they have as Pioneer usually makes decent sounding stereos. It must be a defective sound processor chip or something. I tried to take it back to best buy as defective as the Pioneer website states to do under support but they refuse to do anything even though it is under warranty. Seems I have to either listen to a bad stereo or buy another after the recent speaker and amp purchase I will need to wait a while. Not very happy.

    I LOVE IT! I went from a factory cd/cassette player in my Audi to this and i love it, i just wish it had a usb-C connection instead of the type a connection on back to connect my iPhone but other than that i love it!

    This radio made calling hands-free super easy, barely an inconvenience. Especially with the Android Auto feature I have connected to my Galaxy S23 Ultra. So far, I haven't had any problems out of it.
