    BAD HEAD UNIT BEWARE

    I bought this head unit March 2022 and it failed today February 2, 2024. It only has a white screen with colored vertical lines. Nothing works. I’ve bought other Kenwood products and have not had this issue. I wish I had gotten the geek squad warranty because it only comes with a one-year factory warranty. Do not buy this head unit!

    Purchased for my granddaughter. Her car did not have hands free operations or car play, so I thought it would be a good safety feature. It works perfectly. She loves it and I feel money well spent.

    Thus was a ungrade on our car that we passed down to our daughter. It has awesome gps, touch screen, voice acivation, and Bluetooth. This is great sonshe can answer and talk while keeping eyes on the raod

    Radio was installed through Best Buy and didn't last 2 years. Very disappointed in the product. We splurged and purchased a more expensive radio and what we thought was a good brand but after about a year and 1/2 it started glitching and now doesn't work at all.

    All good! amazing quality just make sure all the wiring is tight and solid it is very picky about that or it will not work!

    It's not as described stereo is fine. I added tailgate backup camera and it's very dark can not see. It either bad camera or stereo

      I am sorry to hear you are not happy with the DMH-1770NEX. The radio will display the image provided by the camera. If all other screens are bright, I would suspect the issue could be the camera.
      Check the connection of the orange/white wire. This should be connected to headlight circuit. When the headlights are on, it will send voltage to the stereo and tell it to dim the display. If you have daytime running headlights, the radio may be getting a false signal.
      Go to Settings and then Display Settings. Try turning off Lighting Detect. See if this helps with your image.
      If needed, please contact our Product Support at 1-800-421-1404, select option 1.
      They will provide troubleshooting assistance. PUSATechAnswers

    The first one was defective. Best buy gave me another one. The tech guys immediately recognized the problem and recommended the replacement.

    Honestly, it has been working great since I got her installed, did have to buy some extra wiring harness because I'm not a master electrician though.

    Screen was completely busted. I'm actually shocked that best buy sold it like that, it's not in keeping with your quality control standards.
