    The performance of this unit was enough to give it three stars but now it has stopped working completely after three months. This is just unacceptable.

    Terrible setup, radio worked for a couple months and then stopped. Now we are left with a white screen.

    Works great in cars from this century.

    I purchased this Pioneer car stereo because it advertised Apple CarPlay, modern connectivity, and cutting-edge technology. What it did not advertise—tragically—is that it refuses to fit inside a 1915 Model-T Ford. Let me be clear: this stereo is excellent. The screen is bright, CarPlay connects instantly, Siri listens better than my passengers, and the sound quality is light-years ahead of whatever acoustic sorcery Henry Ford was working with. Maps pop up beautifully, Spotify slaps, and phone calls no longer require yelling into the wind. However, when I attempted installation, I discovered several compatibility issues: • The dash is mostly wood • The “factory wiring harness” is a hope and a prayer • There is no place for a double-DIN unit, unless I remove the steering column, the soul of the car, or time itself • Apple CarPlay does not support “horse-drawn traffic mode” I tried explaining to the installer that this car predates electricity, but they just stared at me and slowly backed away. To Pioneer’s credit, the unit works flawlessly once removed from the 20th century and installed in a normal vehicle. It pairs instantly, sounds amazing, and does not judge you for your music choices—unlike the Model-T, which creaks disapprovingly. Final verdict: 5 stars. Amazing stereo. Terrible fit for my Model-T. Would recommend to anyone driving a car built after the invention of radio.

    Decent device, I had a power issue about a month after having it installed, and the installation tech can't replicate the problem. That's my only complaint, but it's significant because the stereo drains my car battery every couple of weeks.

    Really needed this installed in my truck to use the screen for a back up camera. My older truck did not have that option when was manufactured. Also a good upgrade on my stereo. Thanks Geek Squad

    Benift of the doubt

    Compared to my original radio in my 03 vehicle this is a 4 star product. The installation required sawing away to make space. The android auto is giving me problems connecting. I also dont like the volume control button. 3.5 star rating. I recommend this product if it is more than 50% off.

    Equipment is good, not pleased with Best Buy

    Radio works fine and install work is fine. The people at Best Buy were not knowledgeable. It took forever to get help and the person who helped me assured me that I purchased everything I need( I did have to order a part off Amazon because Best Buy couldn’t get it), when I took it in for install, I had to buy a install kit for the camera I purchased in the store. I was not pleased with the store or employees. Equipment is fine, Best Buy was a big disappointment

    Everything i wanted…except CarPlay.

    Installed this unit and it was an upgrade in every way, except the main reason i bought it. The Apple CarPlay didnt work. Tried different phones, different cables, even an Android. Everything but CarPlay worked. Had to return.

    FINALLY installed this on my truck. Sounds great and looks great! A couple of things to note: 1. This radio says "XM Ready" which means you MUST buy an XM receiver in order for this to have XM capabilities. Once you get the receiver installed, it works great...just realize that this does not come with the receiver. 2. Also, if you are new to these, go research the parking brake hookup as well and do what you need to do. 3. If you want your steering wheel controls to work, you need to buy a thing for it as well. It was a pain to put in, but I got my working just great! Overall it sounds great, and it has tons of cool features. Very happy!!!

    The only reason for the 5 star review is because of Jarrod in the car audio installation dept, Best Buy seriously need to look into this area, mobile wifi ,dash cams,media devices are booming with Camper vans,Rvs,a serious lack of business opportunity in this market, is missing at B.B. This review would be 1 star if I had to rely on the geek squad , not one person in that whole department including the manger knew anything about Jarrods whole operation, including scheduling, products,installation costs. Neither did the overseas answering service, especially with store specifics, Not being able to speak to the store directly is very frustrating, I understand this was removed from each store? I cant say how great Jarrod was ,very professional, intelligent, amazing customer service way above and beyond. Also I should say it was a 28 ft motorhome he worked on. Other than him ,everyone else I encountered just said "oh I dont anything about that area? How can be? Also Jarrod only works 3 days a week and was sick on of those days. I now feel Best Buy is going down as a major chain, I was told not to go there but I have had very pleasant previous experiences at the Gilbert store,Chandler does not compare, expect Jarrod who coincidentally came from Gilbert. Different training standard can clearly be seen. I appreciate the work and products we chose and the workdone ,however 3 weeks wait for a stereo install with front dash cam and speakers,I will reconsider BB next time however not the Chandler store.

    This radio is definitely a upgrade from the last pioneer that I had. The android auto works great. I just recently had a backup camera added and that works great as well. My only complaints are that the remote is very basic and doesn't do a lot. I also don't like the fact that in order to change radio stations I have to leave the navigation screen. If there is a way to do it while maintaining the navigation I would love to know how.

      Unfortunately, Android Auto does not have a way to control the AM/FM tuner of the radio itself.
      You might consider one of the applications that stream radio stations. This way you would not have to leave Android Auto to change the station. PUSATechAnswers

    This radio replaced the factory original in the 2011 Silverado I bought new. I should have done this years ago. The new radio offers connectivity to Apple Play and Android Auto, opening a world of apps not available on the stock radio. I did give up my CD player and Sirius XM, but Spotify has more than made up for that. It doesn't have a wireless connection to your phone, but that feature is available in pricier models. I was also very happy with the professional installation performed by Best Buy techs.

    Didnt work after a year

    Radio was nice until it wasnt. Just after a year it stopped working,. Turns out radios made this year( during covid) were made poorly. Luckily pioneer fixed it for free evn though it was past the warranty period. I did have to pay shipping, and remove and reinstall myself. I would not recomend for this reason.
