    This was a gift for my brother, installed on 2005 ford truck, I've heard complaints of the plastic screen being unresponsive or melting in hot conditions, but it's lasted in the Texas summer heat, my only complaint is that the volume is a touch screen button instead of a standard dial, kind of awkward to change the volume but once you hit the button once a slider appears.

    Bad sound and distortion. Stay away

    Stay away from this Pioneer Unit! After the tech installed radio i immediately noticed horrible sound and distortion. I own a 2007 Camry with factory head unit and factory amp. I have Cerwin Vega speakers that i had already replaces the stock speakers and they sounded great with factory Unit. I took the car back to Best Buy where luckily i was able to be seen by abother Tech, Tyler who was absolutely awesome in trying to find the issue. After he got the new unit out and plugged in an old Pioneer deck we both noticed a great improvement. He said yeah i was right its the New Unit. He installed me a Kenwood DMX4707S head unit that was same price point and im extremely happy. Great sounding unit in my car. There are a lot of bad reviews about the distortion and sound issue on this particular Pioneer Model. Stay away. Thats coming from a Pioneer fan. They make good stuff but this unit is awful. Shout out to the Best Buy Technician who without an appointment was ablt to take my car right in and worked on it for about 3 hours. Thank you Tyler

    Bought this to upgrade my 2008 Honda Element and had a local shop install it for me. Overall it works as advertised, giving it 3 stars because the USB-A extension cord that is provided with the unit - doesn't always work properly when I connect my phone. Also, the auto-dim for day and night driving doesn't work - not sure why, but it just doesn't work. I'm forced to manually change EVERYTIME I drive, super annoying. The screen is also barebones, and the options/settings are light. But you get what you pay for and it's working well enough for my needs.

    Best purchase I’ve made for my car to date! Phone connects easily and calls are super clear. Remote is great for passengers. Price was well worth the hands free option

    Love this thing. I've never had a car stereo like this one. I always had a cd deck. I got this specifically for the Apple compatibility. Works great.

    Great Head unit for Android Auto

    Works great. Android auto in my old car using without an amplifier for main speakers and was able to add able do add a powered pioneer subwoofer to add a fuller sound.

    Installed on 2008 FJ cruiser. I’d recommend looking at Crutchfield first to see the harness you’ll need. Found exact part numbers on bestbuy and bought it all at once. Works great

    I'm afraid I hate this thing. Sad, since this was a big investment for me. I am absolutely not an audiophile, but I am far from a technophobe. My 2005 Colorado had a better radio than the 2009 Toyota I hate to settle on, so I thought I'd upgrade. All info here pointed to this being compatible with my car. Well, it doesn't work with the back speakers. They go in and out, blaringly, front to back. I wanted something that showed me what was playing on the radio, but this has a tiny, one-word banner. If I choose anything other than the main setting, it wipes out my stored stations. Yeah, all I wanted was a decent radio that might let me talk on the phone, and show me what was playing on the stations I like. I hate it every time I get into the car and it's on full blast, (for a few seconds) and has that annoying disclaimer banner in front. I own the darned thing Shouldn't that be programmed to disappear .by now? I am so disappointed it makes every ride start out on a sad note. (Oh, and my display doesn't look like the picture here. I can't locate that setting.)

    I bought this back in 2023 to upgrade my stereo and it was really good until recently when it would randomly restart its self and now I’m getting the “white screen of death”

    The receiver worked fine for a year and a half. There were times when the system had to be reset. Around a year and a half to two years in and the screen is completely white and will not work.

    Hopefully the 2nd stereo isn't an issue. 1st went out in 2 years I was glad I had geek squad protection. Getting the runaround from The geek squad guys with the car stereo isn't helping matter.... I rebought the pioneer in-dash stereo and was told they had a problem in the early 2000s but after 2024 they fixed it. So I'm just awaiting my reinstall coming up soon.... Hard to get an appointment and having a couple issues hopefully they work out smoothly.

    The selection of car stereos was informational to choose and to know that the Geek Squad is there for us at anytime. The ease of setting up for the radio to be installed was easy and the techs were very professional. I am currently looking now for a car stereo for my car as this Pioneer Receiver was for my wife for Christmas! Thanks to all great job!!
