Looking to upgrade the stereo in my truck to one with Apple CarPlay, and the price was not bad. Looked good, so I had it installed. Never worked right at all. Issues with power output, as well as with sound quality. None of the adjustments did much. Equalizer works, but you cant simply slide your finger across it to adjust it like you can with models from other manufacturers. Also, with it installed, the positoning of the buttons makes it pretty awkward to get to buttons easily. There is nothing to touch but screen, so yiu actually have to look at the unit to make sure you’re hittinf the right button. Also, Bluetooth will not work at all with the USB plugged into your phone. Kinda weird. Last major gripe was that you could change the LEDs color, but only a small number of colors. No amber, only yellow. The whole experience feels clunky and cheap. Ordered a Kenwood, and this one is going back.

Look at all the reviews, all white screened. There should be a class action lawsuit against pioneer for selling this unit, they know its defective. PLEASE DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It will go out within a year of you buying it!!!!!!!!

Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It’s been 2 years and this radio now no long connects to Bluetooth or Apple CarPlay. Each time you start your car you’ll have to repair your phone or fix the radio. This is apparently common with this radio. It works great for 2 years and then doesn’t. No amount of factory resets or updates will fix the issue either. Stick to your old radio and use the aux cord.
