The Pioneer 6.8 Multimedia Player works great. I love Apple Car Play, and Pioneer is easy to use and Sounds Awesome. I highly Recommend the Pioneer 6.8 Multimedia Digital Receiver. Please note, it does not play CD or DVD's.

To be completely honest I was going to buy a new car because I simply wanted a reverse camera and Bluetooth in the car. Then my dad reminded me I could just get one of these installed. Boy did he save me thousands. Now I don’t have a car payment every month and I love how the entire system works. Every once in a while it has trouble registering the music app I use but if I just unplug my phone and plug it back it it picks it up and I’m good to go. I’m beyond grateful for this. The geek squad also installed it so fast and we’re so kind. Overall I’m happy with all of it.

A wonderful head unit that is very easy to use and works well with all the “extra stuff” in my vehicle. I give it 4 out of 5 because if you use WAZE, you will have to reseat the connection at the included USB cable in order for all the features in the app to work - and that’s for each time you enter your car and connect to the device. CarPlay or Android Play works equally well with this unit, giving you great access to all its unique features on its respective platforms. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants to upgrade their original factory radios to a more advanced unit. You will not regret it.

This Pioneer head unit has exceeded my expectations. The sound quality is great. The Bluetooth connectivity to my iPhone is very reliable. Best Buy had it on sale at the time of purchase. There are things that Best Buy does that Amazon can’t do.

This stereo makes a huge difference in sound quality with the stock speakers. Upgraded for the Apple car play feature and the backup camera option. Very happy with purchase!

Bought this receiver to use in my Audi A3 along with the iDatalink Maestro RR. This allows me to bypass the stock Bose system and retain steering wheel controls. Installation was a little more complex than a regular cd deck, but you get a lot of extra features and options to use. It also looks great in the dash, just a nice large screen with no buttons. Sound quality is great, I'm using the active crossovers on the deck (network mode) to send signal to 2 amps. Bluetooth calls sound fine on both ends. Spotify app works well, although occasionally the music will drop out which is annoying. This only happens on bluetooth, if you use the usb connection for Android Auto then it's fine.

I finally found the perfect receiver for my needs. I really wanted Car Play so I don't have to look on my phone. I only look at my phone when I'm stopped BTW! Anyways, this receiver has everything. Weblink, Alexa, HD and much more. There isn't many HD radio stations broadcasted but, they sounds very clean. The interface of the receiver is beautiful, love that it's all touch screen and no knobs or buttons. Can be used with Apple or Android phones. Pioneer did well on this one!

The product is average. Since we weren't looking for any entertainment capability, primarily needed a screen that worked for our rear camera, this unit succeeds at a price point significantly less than what my car manufacturer was asking for a replacement unit - $1500. However it has very limited capabilities. It's Bluetooth capability does not allow AppleCar or AndroidAuto - one has to do a hardwire connection for that. The screen size is quite small - a Google Maps guide is mostly obscured by the lettering. The screen does not auto adjust to ambient lighting. You have to manual adjust between two settings - Bright or Dim. The Bright setting is okay for bright sunny days. Dim setting is comfortable for night-time driving, without glaring. The car features screen was a pleasant surprise, but you have to go through manual steps each time to get the screen up. The unit comes with a Remote, but its mostly for the next level Pioneer unit. The only features that work are for audio control. For us, this limited capability is fine. If we can use the rear camera and have a decent Google Maps presentation, and some connection with Audio playlists and features. If you wanted more, you will be disappointed.

Pioneer has to be one of my favorite car stereo systems and this one is no exception. Great sound, with both Android Auto and Apple Car Play it works no matter if you have an Android or iPhone. Currently I have an Android but want to switch to an iPhone on my next upgrade.As usual Best Buys installer did a spectacular job. Had me in and out pretty quickly. Gave me a demo and paired up my phone for me. With the great job they do it's the main reason I always go to Best Buy for my car audio, computer tech, appliances and other electronics needs..

Installed in a 2015 Chev Impala. Just amazing what adding technology to a car can do. Android auto allows for Waze to be displayed, YouTube music, Sirius XM, and other amazing aps to be displayed. Sound quality is excellent, as good as original stereo if not better. Steering wheel controls still work and Bluetooth Phone is much better than original. Love this stereo, no complaints.

Absolutely love the wireless CarPlay. Also has the option of wired when you need to charge your phone or use a phone that is not paired to the stereo. The screen is bright and sharp. Back up camera works too. The Best Buy team did the install with all the needed hardware and harnessing. You wont be disappointed.

Purchased for Apple CarPlay as well as adding a backup camera to my car. The unit is incredibly responsive in CarPlay and in its own operating system, has nice EQ tuning, and the customizable LEDs on the buttons are a nice touch. CarPlay has no lag (using an iPhone 11 Pro) and switching between the backup camera when reversing is instant. The screen itself is a capacitive touch screen, like your smart phone, which is the biggest upgrade over Pioneer’s 1500NEX and other $300 CarPlay receivers. Compared to the resistive touch screens in those receivers, the unit feels much more responsive and more premium (think iPhone vs Nintendo DS touch screen). My only complaint about the screen is its low resolution at 800x400 which does look jarringly blurry at first compared to how sharp our phone resolutions are, but in practice it’s hardly a dealbreaker and something you won’t notice while driving. Last thing to note: the unit includes a separate microphone, which can be placed elsewhere in the car (my technician put it next to my rear view mirror). No complaints about phone call quality, and Siri can understand me just fine. “Hey Siri” on CarPlay still listens through your phone, resulting in a delay before hearing your request. Skip Hey Siri and just use the call button on your steering wheel or the mic button on the receiver for Siri.

I bought this for Apple CarPlay and that feature works great. Unfortunately, there are a couple of issues - Does not auto dim - Half of the setting options are inaccessible - Backup camera input does not automatically switch when inserting into reverse - When truck first starts, there about a 5 second window before the radio connects to the speakers (it sounds like connecting an aux cord to a speaker)

Recently got this unit to replace a 10 year old Pioneer that lost its hands free features because the new iPhones don’t support it. After having it for almost a month, I feel comfortable writing a detailed review. Unlike my previous stereo, this thing connects quickly via Bluetooth and automatically plays music where I left off (Apple Music / Spotify). The stock speakers in my car buzz less as this thing is EQing better and handling the low end better. Dialing in the sound was much quicker as the defaults were already very close. I’ve noticed there are a lot of weird bugs though. Through Bluetooth, you can either be in Bluetooth or iPod mode (would be nice to rename these labels). iPod mode actually shows album art and more detail. But when you shut off the car and come back, powering back on to iPod gives you a playback error and you have to switch to Bluetooth to get it to work again. Sometimes the screen controls will act up. Clicking on any UI element will bring up the menu quickly and then it’ll disappear — on everything — shutting off the car and rebooting seems to fix it. Sometimes when plugged in to CarPlay, my steering wheel controls won’t respond — reboot to fix. Overall, the unit seems very temperamental. One of the most annoying things is the UX. Whoever designed the architecture needs to be fired, rehired just to be fired again. The user flows and buttons are not intuitive at all. It shouldn’t be this difficult to navigate screens / features. Overall for the money, it’s a great deal and the sound is nice. If you’re willing to deal with a few hiccups here and there and the lack of a physical volume button, I recommend this head unit.

I'd been eyeing this product for a while as I was wanting to get Carplay/HD Radio functionality into my 2015 Rogue and replace the stock radio. While it took a while to get installed, I haven't been disappointed at all. It is a CLEAR upgrade and we've been very happy so far. The installation was a breeze and the staff was extremely pleasant/accommodating to work with. I'd highly recommend this product to anyone who's looking for an upgrade.

Amazing sound and ease of use. Apple car play is great and works seamlessly. We even added a back up camera to it very easily.

Love this Pioneer system!!! Works well with my iphone when playing music and phone calls. Recommend this system for your car. I play music via Pandora and YouTube. Works well with Waze!! This system was installed in a 2005 Corvette. Looks awesome as well.

This Stereo is great.. I have it installed with Maestro idatalink and my truck hast skipped a beat. This really is great compared to the cheap little 4.3 inch screen that ford had in it. And Ford wanted 1800 just for there 7inch screen with ford lync they are crazy my Truck still remote starts through the ford sync app. Even after the Pioneer was installed and all steering wheel functions work. I highly recommend this head unit it was just brought out this year 2020. So if you need some positivity this year I would say get this deck. It does not have a CD player but who needs a CD player everything is digital or USB played now anyways. So get this Pioneer it is awsome. It has Wayes for GPS directions. Great sound well worth my 300.00 open box price.
