New radio and speakers

Sounds really good. Tech was a very knowledgeable man and hard worker. thanks

Fan died quick other than that great head in unit

Do Not Buy

It rarely auto connects with android auto. You have to tap screen multiple times to get it to work, and go through several steps just to get it to connect. Radio sucks also i only get like 3 stations. Ot ramdomly reboots when driving. It cost so much to get installed or i would have taken it back

Nice Radio, but lacking for the price

Too many issues to mention

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased the unit to replace old Alpine unit and to have wireless Apple CarPlay. The reviews all seemed to be really good. The installation was easy. I used the Maestro RR and purchased a couple additional cables to make the installation all plug and play. Really this is the best I can say about this unit. Once it was installed, the firmware update with CarAVAssist did not work. Followed the directions exactly and the update would never transfer. It timed out every time. So I updated the firmware using the USB port and that worked. Now the really disappointing part. Wireless Apple CarPlay rarely works. I either have to go into settings every time and turn it on or turn off the unit and turn it back on to get it to connect. Today none of the wireless options were available. The Apple CarPlay option was greyed out and the Wireless option in settings was greyed out. If the wireless Apple CarPlay does actually load, not all of the apps work correctly. For example, IHeart Radio will load one station, but it will not allow you to change stations. Another issue, the volume control while using Apple CarPlay does not always work. At first, I thought maybe it was just the steering wheel control that was not working so I tried the volume control on the touch screen and that does not work either. The volume control bar does pop up on the screen, but it is greyed out. The guidance volume control does work. There are many more issues with this system. So many, I am not sure I even want to bother contacting Pioneer support and just return the unit. My price range was to spend only 500 - 600 dollars. I am afraid to spend 1100 on the next model up, so I will probably just try a Kenwood and hope for a better result.

Replacement radio

Screen freezes already

Sometimes after driving a while, the screen stops working and I can't press anything. It only fixes when I turn it off.

Purchased discounted open box.

Reception issues

Posted .I am sorry to hear you are having a problem with the reception.
Make sure the radio is grounded directly to the chassis of the vehicle. Do not use the wiring harness adapter to ground it.
Also, many vehicles have a factory amplified antenna system. You need to make sure this is being power on, if the vehicle has one.
I would suggest having a professional installer check the system. They will have vehicle schematics and be able to verify.
Your radio reception should be as good, or better, than the factory tuner.
