Paying new pricing for a used product

So I returned the item, found out they didn’t have the correct size in stock, and ultimately purchased the correct size online for the same price. Upon opening my package from the mailman, I found the case for the watch to be ripped open already, and the watch band was floating around in the box. I could tell it was used due to the condition compared to the brand new one I purchased 2 days prior. I probably would not have minded purchasing a used one if notified upon purchasing the item, and had a reduced price, however I just paid full price for something that was obviously used enough to notice wear and ripples in the leather.

Pretty color but latch fades onto strap
