The Compact Flash card slot is designed so that the card may be inserted with a slight misalignment causing damage to the pins and rendering the CF card slot useless. Other than this major shortcoming, it is a nice unit for the other card formats.

First of all, the box clearly states that this device can handle CompactFlash cards, both Type I and Type II. It just requires some modification to actually work with the Type II cards. The faceplate was clearly designed for the slimmer Type I cards only. Either take the faceplate off, or find another way to make the slot larger if you need to use a larger Type II. Also the cord is a little short for my needs, and the device failing during reads and writes both to and from cards when I use any of my USB extension cables (both USB 3 and USB 2 extension cables used on any USB 2 or USB 3 port). If I continue to have need of a card reader, then I will need to get a more reliable reader.

Getting access to very large datasets can be a real challenge. I was given a 32GB micro SD flash drive with an Adapter, but my mom's old iMac only has UBS and Thunderbolt ports. This was the perfect solution. It worded right out of the box with no issues and I was really impressed with the speed.

I needed a USB 3.0 multi-card reader and most of the other brands or models were larger or had an irregular shape. This fits nicely in my camera bag. It also has a metal case and seems more substantial than other units I checked out.

It worked excellent with the much used sd card slot...but with the first attempt to use the compact flash card it failed because a wire in the reader was bent! The same thing occurred in a replacement insignia card reader!!

Used this to upload pictures and videos to an old PC laptop from a CF card and an SD card. Both worked flawlessly! No problem with card capacity (used on Fujifilm 128MB CF card and SanDisk128GB SD card). Small size, easy portability, came with USB cable (no addt'l cables required).

I took video of several events, and needed a card reader to transfer the file to my laptop. Went to best buy and spoke with an associate who recommended me this product. It wasn't very expensive, and I bought it to try. It works perfect for what I wanted. I am happy with it.

Needed an external card reader that reads CF card with the My Passport Wireless Pro. Went into a local Bestbuy store not knowing if it is compatible, but I bought it anyway to try. Turns out it worked just fine and am very happy with it. The USB3 option is great and fast.

This is a great time saver. It's a great way to upload photos and media from different devices from one USB port. A savvy store clerk knew exactly what I needed and directed me to this product. I highly recommend it for transferring media from different size SIMM cards.

It does what it says, and very easy to insall and the people at best buy where very helpful, what I like about it is the different slots it has for the sd cards just plug it in and go. Great idea for a cheap price.

I only gave this one a 4 star because the only complaint I have with it is the cord is a little short for my use. It may work great for a Lap Top but on my Desk Top It`s a little short. Other than that no complaints .

Although the device works fine the placement of the slots for microSD and SD cards is on the back side where the cord is. This makes it cumbersome to use. I would not have bought it had I known beforehand.

I have 2 64gb micro SD for my GoPro Hero 4 and its so much more convenient to charge the camera while you upload your movies & photos over the PC. Not to mention the speed increase with the USB 3.0. Very satisfied and It's built really well, metal construction.

This product is an easy way to move pictures from many different media to your computer, if you have several cameras or don't have the disc so you can't hook up your camera direct to your computer then this is an easy solution, I use it just about every day

The slot for SD cards is on the back of the device, right nest to the USB cable. You have to turn the device around 180 degrees, severely bending the USB cable, to insert the SD card. Very poor layout!

This memory card reader has worked well for me so far I use it daily I found that if I leave it plugged in and the server goes off line that the computer gets confused to what it is so I unplug it until I need it and that has worked for me.

This card reader does the job . . . allows downloads and uploads at good speeds. It seems reliable and, well, it couldn't be easier to use. For the price, I would recommend this item.

I was looking for a convenient, portable way to be able to read Compact Flash cards in particular. This one does that as well as reading most other types of cards. And it's size allows me to take it with me wherever I may need it.

Feels solid. Cards seat firmly. no wondering if it's in right. It comes with a sturdy cord, fits more kinds of cards that I have. reads fast I haven't tried it with a tablet, but it works fine with my desktop and laptop machines.
