    I do digital photography and image file sizes keep getting bigger so I needed a faster card reader. This is USB 3 and is fast.

    Photos on multiple CF cards (SanDisk, Lexar and Transcend) could not be viewed properly on my PC. The images were seriously messed up in both Lightroom and Canon's DPP software. I bought the Lexar version from B&H (not offered by Best Buy) - great product - displayed photos correctly from the same CF cards.
