It keeps disconnecting and reconnecting on my Alienware Aurora R9. Windows Event Log has multiple messages like, "Disk 4 has the same disk identifiers as one or more disks connected to the system. Go to Microsoft's support website (http://support.microsoft.com) and search for KB2983588 to resolve the issue." To be fair, I took this media reader to work and tested it on my work PC, an HP Pavilion 595-p0084, and it works fine their. So it could be an issue with my PC. However, I then turned around and bought a dual USB-B and USB-C media card reader and it works fine on my Aurora R9. So, bottom line, this card reader may or may not work on your device. If so, great. Otherwise, it will be unusable like it is for me.
