Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm too afraid to use it now because it's corrupted my SD card twice, losing hours of video each time, as well as occasionally corrupting files while trying to move or copy them. Often it wouldn't even let me copy or move files from it, it usually takes multiple attempts to move or copy a file, and last time it didnt copy the video AND it corrupted all the data on the card. The cable is also EXTREMELY poorly made, the connector doesn't fit right, I have to push it in the entire time I use it or it will wiggle out and unplug. Even with it pushed in the connector can sometimes tilt weird and disconnect anyway. Do not recommend, unless you're a fan of poorly made electronics that delete all of your files.

Made everything simple... that is until I just plugged it in to my computer like I always do AND IT CAUGHT ON FIRE!!! My whole house smells like burnt connections and im out of a reader... Would not recommend.

I bought this so I could format the SD cards of my trail cams, but when I plug it in to my MacBook Pro nothing happens other than the blue light coming on. Now what? How do I format the SD card? Usually the MacBook will display an external icon on the desktop. Garbage product with zero guidance on how to get started. Shouldn't be this complicated that I need to complain about it here.
