I've been a Nintendo fan since the first console, but seems to me whoever designed the Wii U, the Switch, and a lot of their accessories haven't seemed to be thought over quite well! This front cover should have been made to maybe fold back and have velcro or something to hold it instead of it hanging!! I wouldn't expect it to fit into the dock bc it's made to protect it so it has to have some kind of bulk, but it's really irritating to have the front just hanging! This is the only cover I've found and having kiddos playing the switch. ...I worry about them dropping it especially bc the controllers are tiny! This is decent to prop up and if you travel is good for protection, but for using hand held....not a fan at all!

This is a great holder for those not looking to play at home on there TV's because the design of the holder doesn't allow the Switch to be used with the dock!! Id give the holder a 5 star rating if it could be used with the dock but it does allow for the Home AC Charger and the Car Charger to be used with the unit. HOWEVER the screen protector that's included is JUNK it doesn't work very well with the Switch screen and leaves a whole bunch of bubbles. Final Conslusion - Expensive for what your getting and you cannot use the dock with it and the screen protector is junk!!

It does the job protecting the Switch screen from damage. However you must remove the cover to insert the Switch into the dock. The first time we removed the cover, the velcro strip completely detached.

The wrap-around cover is fine but I am very disappointed by the screen protector, which is a pain to install and doesn't adhere well. It's full of bubbles and the cardboard squeegee that is supposed to remove the bubbles only makes them worse. While Best Buy's customer service is usually great, I have to complain that this was recommended to me by a Best Buy employee — on the merits of the screen protector! He claimed that many people found scuffs and scratches on their Nintendo Switch screens when sliding the system in and out of the dock. I'm sure that is true, but this screen protector is a cheap, bubbly eyesore that I will have to replace with a tempered glass "easy install" screen protector elsewhere.

The screen protector hangs down on the back touching your hands when playing. Will be returning.
