The flywheel was defective inside the machine. After only a couple of weeks of use, the flywheel started rubbing on the housing. AS you can see in the pictures, the entire flywheel shifted. Be sure that you get the extended warranty if you purchase this. There is a new model out, so maybe this problem has been rectified. BestBuy deserves 5 stars for standing behind ProForms shoddy workmanship. Proform deserves a 1 for poor manufacturing and poor customer service. SKSM

This has the potential to be a really great machine. But a week after I got it, it started making a horrific squeaking sound. The maintenance guy came out without any lubricant to fix it and said he had to order it. So now I am stuck ordering my own, and having to dismantle the entire thing. Not to mention I can only use it with the arms removed to minimize the squeaking. I am not really happy about the work I need to put in to an expensive / brand new piece of equipment.

I love this machine! I’ve used the Bowflex Max Trainer many times and I actually prefer this. I’d say try trainer videos aren’t necessary but it is nice. Delivery was nice and easy and so was the setup.

I've only had this for a day but I wanted to go ahead and give a quick review for those who might find it useful. First I want to say that the assembly was very easy, uneventful and an overall pleasant experience. I did the entire assembly myself without any problems. It took me about 2 hours from unpacking to finish, including a few short interruptions from my curious 5 year old. Everything was pretty self explanatory and all the parts went together without any frustration or modification. The machine seems very solidly built with sturdy parts and quality fasteners.
After completion I tried it out with one of the built in programs and I was just amazed at the amount of technology that went into making the IFit programs. I was so awestruck that I couldn't stop smiling through the workout. Later, we signed up for the 1 year free IFit membership and were further amazed at the plethora of programs, events and customizing that was available. The machine is incredibly smooth and easy on the joints but gives a really good workout in a short amount of time.
I'm extremely happy with this purchase. Hopefully we will get many years of trouble free service from it!

My wife and I are very happy with this unit for the price ($999)! We wanted a treadmill and smaller, and this sure is compact! Plus, it's easy enough for her to roll around on our tile. We keep it out in our open kitchen/living room so she can move it in front of the TV, and then move it out of the way to a bedroom when guests come over. It's that easy to move!
Had it shipped and comes in a smaller box than I anticipated and I was able to move it on my own. The install was not that bad, just time consuming. You get the whole middle/fly wheel all assembled, just put the arms, legs, foot pedals, and screen. You may need two people (the screen part and wires can be tricky), but I was able to do it on my own.
The unit is super quiet and smooth (read my last paragraph about the noise). iFit is really fun, you get a card with a year "family" membership in the box. I though it would be gimmicky but we will most likely renew. My kids get a kick out of it. "where did you go this time on your workout, daddy?" :)
Should you upgrade to the H14? It is literally just the same base model, with a couple more difficulty settings and larger screen. I have no issue with the size of the H7 screen. I just don't see spending $500+ more for these two options.
I would also recommend that if you want an extended warranty, don't get it though BB like I did. I figured since I wasn't getting it directly from Proform, I couldn't do their warranty...wrong. After registering my machine on their site, they gave me the option to purchase a warranty and also mailed me an offer. The Proform warranty is much better, it includes yearly checkups and maintenance.
***Regarding the squeaking many others have mentioned. I too heard it after a few workouts. It got louder and to the point it was annoying. It ended up being the two legs grinding metal with the main unit. I took both legs off, cleaned the connections, lubricated, put them back on and BAM...this thing is whisper quite.
Am I upset about the squeaking? Not really, it was an easy fix. If I couldn't have figured it out, or if it was difficult, I would have been really upset. Obviously I shouldn't have had to do it, but it is what it is.

We were originally wanting an Arc Trainer, and this was the closest we could find at a decent price. My husband and I both really like the machine, it is more like a stepper than a traditional elliptical. We like the movement better than a traditional elliptical, but less than the arc trainer. The machine works great and I like that it has a fan. The trouble we have had has been with trying to register for the membership that comes with it. The machine was working fine until we registered and tried to log in on the monitor, the screen would not work. It was stuck on an all white screen and the machine would act like it wasn't on, so although you could still move the steps, you couldn't change the resistance or use the fan. We finally googled and found a way to reset the monitor back to the factory settings, then it began working fine. We now just use the machine on manual mode. So, if you are getting the machine to use with the ifit membership, you might have issues. When we googled the issue we were having it seemed like a common problem. As long as you don't try to connect it with the wi-fi and use the ifit membership the machine works fine. That is okay with us, we like to do our own thing and were only trying to set up the membership because it was free, but if that is a feature you are really looking for so that you have specific workouts to follow, you might have issues.

I was very pleased with this machine, until it started making noises. The first 3 days it was very quiet, NO noise. After that, the noise was not tolerable. You get a great cardio work out, but unfortunately I'll have to try and return/exchange, because of the creaking noise it makes.

I love this machine even though I am still building up me endurance. It kicks my butt! I just did 5 mins on level 15 at least 30 mins ago and my legs are STILL feeling it.
It is actually easy to set up, but took me two days off and on since I did it by myself. I got creative and leaned it on my ottoman or against my bed to connect the pedals. I saved money by not having it assembled, but go ahead and pay extra to skip that part. The machine is solid. No squeaking. Solid. I made sure to tighten every bolt. It has wheels in the front so you can slide it around. You should have a wrench and screwdriver to tighten the bolts. I also bought the mat to keep it steady.
There are a tonnnnn of workouts with the free Ifit membership. I just tried a mountain climb with an instructor who was climbing a real mountain and it was pretty cool and intense. My goal is to be able to do 60 mins by the end of October. I burn 50 calories per 5 mins. It is a hard machine but this machine is really worth the investment.

Excellent workout with this trainer. I bought this to replace an older elliptical that was breaking down. A friend recommended the bowflex equivalent, but at this price I got the ProForm. I have used it almost everyday since setting it up - did myself without issue. Great HIIT workout with the iFit included, and a good steady workout if you keep just on one resistance setting - which I do while I stream NetFlix on a nearby TV. I do recommend watching a YouTube video on the assembly in addition to reading the instructions to make it easier.

I bought this item about a month ago, and it’s pretty sturdy even for a big guy like me 6’2 270. I’m Hoping to get down to 240lbs and I’m well on my way having lost a couple pandemic pounds since I started using it. It’s pretty intense at first but once you start using it steady for a couple weeks you really feel the difference in the strength of your legs and thighs. It’s like a half stair climber and half elliptical which gives it a nice smooth motion like doing high knees in gym class. I personally like working out listening to music on my headphones so I Don’t really care much for the Ifit app. I just use the manual mode and either do 3 to 4 miles or 30 to 40 minutes a day using escalating resistance. The machine has 24 resistance levels but I can get a pretty good sweat going between level 8-12 any higher is pretty grueling but nice to have. I would’ve given it a higher rating if it were not for the heartbeat sensor that is pretty inaccurate and practically useless. Overall pretty good investment since most gyms are closed during pandemic. Hopefully it passes the test of time but so far so good.

This machine give a great workout, lots of intensity levels, enjoyable sceneries, different training programs if you subscribe to iFit membership. I think the previous model, people complains about the noise, but the Carbon HIIT H7 has been super quiet, smooth, and great so far! I’ve lost 5 lbs in 5 days and gained more muscles. I plan to continue using this machine on regular basis.

It's a great exercise machine! A little tricky to put together, but once together very easy to use. The screen and interface is great. IFit is a nice option since it's included for free for the first year. Biggest downside is the squeaky noises, which started right away. It's pretty annoying but if you can get past that it's a solid piece exercise equipment. Other annoying thing is no place to put your phone or tablet for viewing, unless you want to spend almost $200 for a stand from ProForm...pass on that!

Enjoying this unit - a few comments....
- I like to run manual workouts not iFit programs. The menu system makes you click through 3-4 screens before you can start and it's also a but sluggish. Not horrible, but plan about 2 mins at start up each work out.
- I bought this to replace an elliptical (NordicTrak) - this unit has more of a stair-climber motion. I like it, but it's definitely different from my past ellipticals.
- The unit is very smooth and quiet. I got it on a Black Fri sale - great value at the price I snagged, fair value at its regular price.

This unit is awesome. I am completely out of shape, my first day I lasted under a minute and have been able to get up to six minutes and my legs burn when I use it. My husband and son use the unit as well, both it kicks their butts! Great workout in a short period of time. Footprint is small enough to keep in a dining room or the corner of a room and doesn’t have those long rods like an elliptical, it functions more like a stair stepper with the smoothness and arm movement of an elliptical. You do have to tighten screws after a few uses in the beginning. I purchased an extended warranty off of PROFORM website for in home repair for six years. I think this unit will pay itself off in many ways. The screen is plenty large enough, it has a fan, Bluetooth, a water bottle holder, and a pulse monitor. It’s pretty awesome. I researched for about a month before purchasing-it went on sale and I went for it!

Been using this for 1 month now. Will give you a great cardio and leg workout! It is easy to assemble and use. There was a squeaking sound during initial use but once we tightened the screws it went away. Love the range of resistance this provides. Would have been nice if there was a tablet or phone holder.

This is a great piece of workout equipment and offers great features...if they worked properly. The software is a bit glitchy and doesn’t provide precise touch feedback. It continuously disconnects from the internet and you can’t use certain features if it’s not connected. You can still use the machine but it’s a bit annoying that the software isn’t very user friendly and doesn’t work like it’s supposed to.
